Edison's POV

My lip starts to wobble as I notice my nuggies placed on a green, crocodile plate. Didn't I just tell them that I like purple? I don't wanna cry though, if I act like a baby then they might stop being nice. I am set down on a chair that presses uncomfortably hard against my still sore bum. Hoping that they'll realise I can't possibly eat my nuggies off a non-purple plate I chance one last glance up to Sebbie, eyes wide and watering, lips in a pout. Despite the adorable puppy face all I get is an encouraging smile.

As my eyes start to fill with more tears, I reach for a nugget and raise it to my lips. Miserably I chew, the green plate is making my nuggies taste bad. Suddenly I lose control and the tears spill over. Attempting to remain inconspicuous I let out a hiccup and a few pitiful sniffles before reaching for the next horrible green plate nugget. Then a figure kneels down next to me and fingers grasp my chin forcing my head to turn and look Sebastian in the eyes.

A finger wipes under my eyes catching my tears as a concerned look spreads across his face. "What's up with the crocodile tears bubba?"
That's all it takes to set me off, wails escape my mouth as I hit the plate to try and tell him it's not the right colour. chicken nuggies flying everywhere. A hand grabs my wrist, stopping my abuse towards the nasty croc plate as an arm snakes around my waist, lifting me from my chair and onto an extremely comfortable lap.

"Stop that tantrum right now Edison or I'll be forced to take you over my lap."

"Noooooo" I scream, attempting to scramble off his lap and make a run towards the door. I would've been successful had mister Lukey not stormed through the door, knocking me down on my bum. The shock of falling silenced me for a second, before I let out an even more screeching wail. I am quickly scooped up off the floor by Sebastian as his hand takes a hold of my chin once again.

"What the fuck did you do" I hear the words spat from Lucas.

"I didn't do anything, and if you speak to me in such a manner again I'll have you over my lap with the baby."

"Well something obviously happened, and I know it wasn't myyy fault."

I don't want them to fight any longer so I decide to be a big, brave boy. I poke my finger right in the middle of Sebbies chest only to get ignored. My face morphs into what I imagine is one of pure fury as I stab at his chest again, harder. Finally, I get a reaction, his eyes flicker down to me and a small smile curls at his lips as they rest on my face, I can't imagine why. I must look terrifying with this look of pure anger.

I take the opportunity to explain to him whilst I have his attention.
"Pwate," I say as I pick it up and wave it about in my clenched fist, almost hitting my nose in the process.

"What about the plate sugar?"

Ugh, why doesn't he understand?

"Pwate," I say again, hoping he'll stop being such a dummy soon.

Sebastian's eyebrows furrow as a chuckle comes from the other side of the room.

"You idiot," says Lucas "He's just told us that his favourite colour is purple and you give him a green plate, seriously Seb."

I smile as Lukey finally gets the point and goes to the cupboard. I watch him with eager eyes as he pulls out the perfect purple plate. I start bouncing On Sebby's lap, a dopey smile on my face as I point at the plate.

"Puwple pwate, Puwple pwate, Puwple pwate" I chant, all thoughts of tears gone. I reach for the table as he sets my new and improved plate, taking away the old green one. I jump out of Sebastian's arms and run for the chair before I immediately start stuffing my face with nuggies, they taste sooooo much yummier coming from a puwple plate.

Once I have devoured the yummy nuggies I spin on my chair, turning to look at the bigger men. They're both looking at me with funny looks on their faces.

"Really, all that for a plate" Sebastian, of course, he wouldn't understand.

With a mouth full of nuggets I reply "It's important Sebby!"

"Sure little boy, sure," he says as he stalks towards me with a humungous grin on his face. He looks back at Lucas and whispers "We've found our baby Lucas" I'm too focused on twisting my fingers in his dark hair to think about what that means. All I register is Lucas coming towards us both and winding his arm around Sebbys back and placing one hand on the back of my head before pressing his lips to the front.

"I believe we have"

"In that case, we need to have a little chat."

Sebastian's finger gently rubs against my cheek as he walks us to the front room, taking a seat on the comfortable sofa before passing me over to Lukey. The air seems to change and take on more serious weight. Oh no, they're gonna kick me out, I knew I shouldn't have thrown that tantrum. Stupid Eddie, stupid stupid stupid. It's ok, I'll take the rejection like a good boy.

"Edison"

So it's Sebastian that's gonna kick me out.

"Hey buddy"

I look up to him, ready to accept it and move on.

"How would you feel about staying with us, we would look after you just as daddies would look after their little boy"

My mouth falls open, well that is not at all what I was expecting him to say. Did I hear right?

"Huh," I whisper.

"We'd be your daddies, you'd be our baby boy. We have wanted a little bubba like you for ages but we've never found the perfect boy"

"Until you came along" Lucas interrupts.

Wow, two whole daddies to myself, double the cuddles but double the ouchies to my bum. I raise my fingers to my chin, stroking my imaginary beard whilst putting on my best thinking face.

"Hmmmmm lemme think."

They both share knowing smiles as Lucas strokes my hair back from my face and my eyes start to grow heavy from the feeling. I stare into Lucas's eyes as I whisper before falling into a deep slumber.

"My daddies"

The last thing I feel is two sets of lips pressing against my forehead and what I am almost certain is a tear that lands on my cheek.
