~Skull's POV~
I was on my way to the S4 meeting when I started thinking about a topic that had been on my mind recently... my love life... 'Aloha and Army got together without a problem.... maybe I could finally tell Mask...' I had liked Mask for as long as I'd known him. He was so nice to me when he was sarcastic and rude to everyone else. I saw his face once when he was going to bed one night, he's handsome... I was just never able to tell him since, until recently, he'd been with Designer. They broke up out of nowhere, I still don't know what happened between them.
"Skull? SKULL!!" I felt someone grab the back of my shirt as I was inches away from walking off of the ground and into some water. I turned around and saw Mask, who I could tell wasn't happy. "Skull!! What was that?! You could've fell!!" He yelled, grabbing my shoulders and shaking me. "Sorry... I got lost in my thoughts I guess." I said as he stepped back and huffed a little. "Well don't do it again. I don't want you dead or anything."
When he said that, I felt my heart beat faster in my chest and my face got warm and I nodded. "Y-yeah... OK I won't.. Thanks by the way." I smiled a little under my bandanna and he crossed him arms. "Er... n-no problem... I can't let the most sane S4 member die." He said as he walked away and I followed him, since we were headed to the same place. I also had no idea where it was.
"Hey.. Mask... So you know how Aloha and Army started dating..?" I asked as he sighed. "Aloha won't shut up about it." He complained and I laughed a little. "Well, I've been meaning to talk to you about something..." I said as I could feel my face heating up as he looked at me. "What is it?" "W-well..."
I got cut off by someone yelling at us. "Heyyyyyyyy~!" I heard a familiar voice yell and get louder as it got closer and Mask groaned. "Alohaaaaaaa... What do you want?!" He said, already annoyed at the pink inkling. "Just saw you guys over here and decided to say hi~ What are you two doing, walking together~?" He smirked as Mask slapped him. "Nothing you pink moron!! We're just headed to the meeting like you."
I stood there and listened to their bickering as I began to zone out. 'I was so close... I almost told him... Stupid Aloha.... I almost did it...' I sniffled quietly and both Mask and Aloha looked at me. "You good, Skull?" Mask asked, tilting his head a bit. "I'm fine... It's nothing.." "You sure dude?" Aloha asked. For some reason, just hearing him made me angry. "I'm. Fine." I said, glaring at him. "Erm... Let's go to the meeting.. Army will yell if we're late..." Mask said as he started walking and I followed close behind.
~Mask's POV~
As we walked to our meeting place, I saw Skull walking very close to me. It made my face get warm and I smiled under my gas mask. He had been acting a little different lately, it was mostly noticeable at meetings, he'd start spacing out for no reason. And I swear, one time I think I caught him staring at me. Ever since Desiner and I split up, I felt this attraction to Skull. I started to realize things I hadn't before, like how cute he was when he smiled... or how adorable his candy obsession was.. 'Cod... please don't say I'm in love....'
We arrived at our meeting area and surprise surprise, Army was already there. Aloha ran right up and hugged him tight as Army returned the hug. "Armyyyyy~!" Aloha squeezed Army really tight. "A-aloha I c-can't b-breathe..." Army said as Aloha let go of the hug and then kissed Army's cheek. I watched them go back and forth, flirting and yelling, for about 10 minutes. I looked up at Skull, who was standing next to me. "They sure are a chaotic couple aren't they... heh.." I said as he just nodded. "Are you sure you're alright.?" I asked. He just nodded again.
Once the meeting was over, I stayed behind with Skull. "Hey, you were going to tell me something earlier... What was it?" I asked as he looked at me. "O-oh... t-that..." He stuttered and looked down as I could see a blush forming under his bandanna. "Would you mind if I just... showed you instead.?" He asked. I was very confused but I nodded anyways and he walked over to me and took down his bandanna. Yep. He was definitely blushing. He then did something I didn't expect, he took off my gas mask and kissed me.
I didn't know what to do. I stood there as he kissed me, and I eventually kissed him back. His arms wrapped around my torso and I put my hands on his neck. We soon pulled away and took heavy breaths and then he hugged me. "I love you Mask..." He whispered into my ear and I smiled a little and hugged him back. "...I love you to Skull.."
I'M SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG! I didn't know how to do it and then I forgot and then I got obsessed with the ship so I did it all in one night. :3 I did my best, hope you like it!
