I took a deep breath as I stepped out of the cab, eager to get this dinner over with. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore my friends. However, I knew Johnny was going to be there and being around him was nerve wracking, but also exciting all at once. I liked that we had this big secret, something that was ours. Something between me, him, and the walls of my apartment. That being said, he had become more and more of a tease every time we were out in public. Especially around our friends. He knew I had to stay quiet about everything in the moment, but I would absolutely crumble under his touch once we were alone.

As luck would have it, he arrived at the same time as me. He looked totally dashing. I let my eyes wander up and down his body, millions of thoughts from the last few nights flooding my mind. The way his skin felt against mine. The way his breath felt against my neck when he kissed me roughly there. The way he felt when he was inside me.

"Take a picture, it will last longer, Y/N." I was brought out of my thoughts by his remark, a small grin on his lips. I walked over to him and embraced him in a friendly hug. It felt like it lasted forever. Every time I was in his touch, I savored every second of it.

"You smell..delicious." He said in almost a low growl. My cheeks warmed with a blush. "And you look breathtaking. Let's head on inside," his voice lowered into a small whisper as he leaned into my ear, "before I take you right here and now."

A shiver ran up my spine at his comment. He gently placed his hand on the small of my back and we began to walk inside. I quickly spotted the table where the group was sitting. However, I saw a face I was definitely not expecting to see tonight. Naomi. As soon as we both saw her, his hand immediately returned to his side. He cleared his throat and we both walked to opposite ends of the table as we greeted everyone. It wasn't a big group at all.  Steve-O, Lux, whom I had actually become quite close with, Pontius, Scott Randolph, Paul Brisske, and of course Naomi.

I suppose it wasn't the biggest surprise to see her. A few months after they separated, everyone decided it would be best to try and remain friends with her. We were all friends whilst they were together, and we figured it would keep some kind of normalcy. We figured it would be easier for the kids too, so they could have good relationships with both of their parents even if they weren't together.

It was actually a pretty nice dinner overall. The food was good, and the company was amazing. However, throughout I kept stealing glances of Johnny and Naomi. They sat right beside each other and they held independent conversation almost the entirety of the dinner. I honestly began to feel a little bit jealous. I know I had no right to be. We weren't together. But, I was agitated. I felt almost territorial. He had assured me before that he no longer had any romantic feelings towards her, but, when you're with someone for as long as they were I don't think you can lose those feelings in the nine months they had been separated. Part of me wanted to test him, to see if I could get him as jealous as I was. I decided to try it.

I started talking to Paul a lot through the rest of the dinner. When I first met Paul, I thought he was very attractive. He was very kind and very funny. We had a short fling, but nothing ever came of it. We decided to just be friends for the time being. It was actually a really good conversation.  We hadn't caught up in a while and I always enjoyed talking to him. A few minutes into the conversation, I felt eyes on me. I briefly looked to the opposite end of the table, and Johnny's eyes were locked on me. I could tell I was pushing his buttons, just as he was doing mine. I didn't look back over to him until it was time to leave, but I knew he was watching.

We all walked out together and said our goodbyes. We held the general small talk outside of the restaurant. It was good to see you. It was nice catching up. We need to hang out again soon.  I miss you guys so much.

I couldn't really focus on the conversation, just Johnny who was watching me like a hawk as I gave Paul a hug goodbye. He did the same with Naomi, even though they already said their goodbyes. Almost to spite me, I suppose.

"I should call my cab now, I suppose." I said, reaching for my phone and beginning to dial the number for a pick-up.

"I can stay to make sure you get on safe. It's getting late." Lux said, smiling as she looked over to me. As I said, her and I had gotten close in the time her and Steve-O had been together. She was definitely one of my closest friends.

"Yeah, I would actually really appreciate-" I was going to see appreciate that, but I was abruptly interrupted.

"No, no. You guys go on. I will make sure Y/N gets home safe. We can share a cab to save some dough as well." He gave me a stern look for a moment and then smiled towards Lux and O with a small nod. I hugged them both one more time while Johnny called the cab.

When it arrived, he opened the door for me and he got in after me. He told the driver my address and was fairly quiet the rest of the way. He had his hand on my thigh, squeezing tightly. I looked over to him shyly and he looked back at me. "What was that about?"

"What was what about?" I answered his question with a question, which he did not find amusing.

"You know exactly what I am talking about. I think we need to have a little chat about you flirting." He responded sternly, tightly grabbing my thigh.

I was in deep shit. And I wasn't ready for what was waiting for me at home.

Disclaimer: This is absolutely with no hate towards Naomi. Obviously they aren't separated, it's simply for plot purposes.
