They walk hand in hand after getting off the bus, with Haewon clinging onto Jaeyun's arms. They're happy, Jaeyun is happy. He hasn't been smiling that much in such a long time. There's nothing but pure joy.

“ Thank you for going out with me,Jake. ”

He smiled, softly planting a kiss on top of her hair.

Jaeyun is definitely so in love.

“ Ehem ! ”

Haewon stucked her tongue out, snuggling closer onto Jaeyun's side even after Taehyun cleared his throat upon seeing the two.

“ Why are you following me? ” she asks.

“ I'm not? Okay, I am. I have to be punctual when it comes to picking you up, especially on a date.”

Just Taehyun being the overprotective younger brother.

“ I'm leaving. See you tomorrow, Jaeyun.”

“ Yeah, yeah. Lovebirds.” mocked Taehyun.

Taehyun pulled Haewon to his side, was about to go home but she isn't leaving without a kiss.

She pecked Jaeyun on the lips, giving him one last hug before going back to grab Taehyun's hand while waving Jaeyun a goodbye.

Jaeyun waited until they both got into Taehyun's car before walking away towards Beomgyu's apartment with a big smile on his face.

“ Jaeyun? ”

It was Sunghoon, alone.

Jaehyun slowly backs away from him, running away.

“ Jaeyun,wait! ”

Sunghoon went after him, he's not going to lose a friend over an argument where he didn't participate over.

“ Jaeyun! ”

“ What,Sunghoon?! Can't you see that the people here can't accept me ? You're lucky that everyone is on your side, to have Subin with you. I don't have anyone else, Sunghoon. I don't even know if the others who sided me are genuine about it. You have your second chance, go live your life and leave me alone. I was and will always be a murderer. ”

“ You're my friend, Jaeyun——— ”

“ No, you're not. You befriended me because you had to, not because you want to. Go back to Subin, Sunghoon. I don't deserve you as my friend, I don't deserve anyone here. ” Jaeyun walked away, leaving Sunghoon behind with his fist curled.

Sunghoon can't think of anything better than anger. In his point of view, this is all Juhee's fault. If it wasn't for her, they would still be close. If it wasn't for her, they would all still be friends.

Still in his own anger, Sunghoon went back to his shared unit with Jaeyun,  only to see Subin playing with her rabbits.

“ Hey, hone—— what's wrong? Why do you look so angry ? ”

“ Jaeyun.”

“ Oh......”

Subin puts her rabbits away, pulling Sunghoon into her arms for a comforting hug.

“ Are you blaming Jaeyun too? ” he asked.

“ I used to, but then I realised that we were all in the wrong. If only I didn't run away for Yeonjun's sake, if only you didn't listen to his commands, we wouldn't be like this. I've killed people in the past, you did too. So what makes him different from us? He was wrong for raising his voice towards Haewon, but Juhee shouldn't have said such thing. ”

“ This is all Juhee's fault. If she hadn't said such thing, then Jaeyun wouldn't think that I'm not genuine about wanting to be his friend, he would be laughing along with us right now. ”

“ Hey, don't say that. Yes, what she said was wrong but let's not point fingers anymore. Hueningkai even defended Jaeyun to stop her from going any further, costing their relationship to end. ”

Sunghoon snuggled closer into her embrace, as Subin planted a soft kiss on his temple.

Seems like this drama between them would never end, making Subin realised that there are people among them who has been pretending to be fond of Jaeyun all this while.
