Valeria opened her eyes to see a blank wall. She smiled as she thought of what happened yesterday. Valeria was on her honeymoon with her husband Mark and they had traveled to an island far from regular society.
She heard the door creak open as she turned to face her husband. A smile spread across his face.
"Hello my husband" she loved the way the word rolled of her tongue leaving beautiful memories behind.
"Hello my wife." he climbed into the bed laying beside her.
"I have made arrangements to go horse back riding" he said stroking her shoulder.
She froze, she wouldn't, couldn't go near a horse again.
"Normally I would love to go but, umm, my stomachs hurts" she said clutching her stomach.
"Oh really, your stomach hurts" he loop his arm around her waist and turned her around pulling him against her.
"Wasn't your stomach hurting yesterday, and the day before. How does it feel, is it similar to the one you had when you had to meet my parents?" He questioned clearly seeing through her false stomach ache.
"Now are you going to tell me what's wrong or continue to lie to me?"
"Fine,"she said sitting up, "I'm terrified of horses"
"You sure are scared of everything" he said grabbing her hands.
"Now I have perfectly good reasoning for being scared, what happens if I get kicked in the head or I fall off and die or your horse donkey kicks me off mine, or on a cliff side the horse falls, or the horse collapses from my weight, or the horse runs off and I get lost on it, or,or"
"Babe overreacting much? None of that stuff is likely at all."
"You don't know that"
"You're right I don't. But remember yesterday, we went hiking and you were scared, all you have to do is trust me." she looked into his bright blue eyes, the sincerity, the love, it was all there. She nodded her eyes never leaving his own.
"Okay then c'mon we are already late."
