I'm afraid the distance between us has lasted too long

I'm afraid that my mind has lost the memories of us

Distance makes the heart long

And my heart longs for you

I shut my eyes to remember

To remember the scent in the air

When you're there

The curve of your lips

When you smile

The twinkle in your eyes

When you think no one is watching

I try to remember but they come out in fractions

The images are fractured

And time has worn out the edges

Memories I thought would last forever

Are failing the test
