I could feel the air going into my lungs as I was flying through the air. I was high in the peaceful starry night sky, but I wasn't here for the scenery. I looked down at the dense forest beneath me, and a small patch of clearing appeared. In the clearing a small figure was moving across it, someone could have assumed it was running. There you are... There's my target. I put my arms to the sides of my body and dove like a falcon that has spotted its prey. My braid flopped in the air and I am getting closer to the ground, just before I hit it I opened my dark black wings again and pulled up about two feet from the ground. I looked ahead of me, She was running a few yards away from me. She turned her head around, then she looked forward again and tried to run faster. This girl isn't going to give up is she. I turned slightly to the right and started to flap my wings faster and pass her. The trees were back now and so I'm positive that my target didn't see me. Good. I stop behind a tree and and look. I hear footsteps and then I see her, she is stopping and she leanes on a tree. She takes a few breaths, then she peeks around the tree. She must be checking if I'm there. Well she'll be surprised. This is the time for me to make my move. I begin to walk around the tree that I had stopped at and begin to walk to were she was. Slowly I pulled out my sword that had been at the side of my waist the entire time. As I get closer I try to be as quiet as I can be.
Snap!
Out of the corner of my eye a saw a bird snapping a few twigs for it's nest. My target turn around quickly and saw me with wide green eyes filled with fear, " Please, Don't hurt me!!!" she pleaded and walked backwards making her put her back against the tree. I began to raise my sword, "Sorry Abigail but I only follow orders." With that said I brought down the sword at her neck with great force. "Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!," she screamed in pain but I only ignored the cries, her blood was squirting everywhere and it was even getting on my hands and my sleeves. I repeated this processes until her head was clean off and the body fell to the ground like a rag doll. By now even more blood was on me with a few drops on my face. I put my sword back to the side of my waist then I bent over to pick up the head by her long brown hair. I looked directly at the face even though now it was lifeless you could still see the fear in her eyes.I pulled out a little bag from my pocket and put the head in it then tied it up again, " My mission is complete. I just have to get rid of the body." Soon I picked up the headless body and began to carry it. I need to find a way to get rid of it. After I walked around for a few minutes I found a lake what was hidden in the trees, "Perfect." The face of the water was perfectly still and the entire perimeter was covered with trees. I proceeded to walk over to it then I lifted the body up and threw it in the water. I looked out at the pond, It looked so peaceful before. Then I saw something shiny in the water near the shore.Normally I would have just walked away however some part told me to get closer... So I did. I looked at the water's shore and in the water there were two small round red shiny things. I bent over to get a closer look but then they started to move," What the-" A figure then began to rise out of the water, it's body was black as if it was made out of tar and the two indigo shiny spheres were like eyes. I pulled out my sword," Don't move or I'll-" before I could finish what I was saying darkness fell over me. I couldn't see anything not even the bright moon and stars. Soon enough I felt that I couldn't move at all. With the inability to move I fell to the ground hard,"Hey!!" Then I felt a sharp pain that started at my back and moved through the rest of my body. I was about let out a yell but a finger was pressed on my lips. I looked up and saw two indigo eyes staring back at me. Then... Then... Nothing. I blinked a few times only to see that I was standing up still looking at the once peaceful lake. "What just happened." I looked around me and at that water half expecting to see the tall black figure again but nothing was there. "I'm seeing things. When I get back I'm going to make an appointment with Dr. Mata. But first I better go back." I pulled out a compass which pointed to the dimension portal that I came from. I opened my wings again and took off.
*3 hours later*
"Back at last," I say as I approached the enormous castle in front of me. The stones and the wood that the castle was made from were a dark color, almost black. It had always looked out of place in the daytime but at night it looked like it belonged. I land just in front of the gates,"Halt! Who goes there." said the gaurds that block the entrance.
"I'm here to see the king. I have finished a mission for him."
"Show us your soul gem," the gaurds reply. This again. Fine. I pulled a necklace that had been tucked underneath my shirt.
"Very well you may enter." They step to the side to let me in. After I was able to get in I quickly made my way past the large half dead gardens at the entrance to the throne room. I pretty much know this place like the back of my hand. After you've been here so many times you eventually learn your way around.Once I reached the throne room I saw that King Autoridad was, of course, sitting on his throne. The throne was huge and it continued the whole dark color scheme. His throne was made of dark wood and the walls are covered with murals of some of the wars that happened. The floor seemed to be the only thing that wasn't black or dark coloured. It was a white marble floor with gold titles, from a birds-eye view it made the shape of two wings. When I reach the base of the throne I got down on one knee and looked down at the floor," Your majesty I have completed the mission that you assigned me." In his deep yet soothing voice he replied," Very well. Did you bring what I needed." I slowly got up and with my magic I levitated the bag to the king. The king was a young adult like me with pale skin, short smooth blackish-brown hair, and had grey eyes. He also wore a black robe with grey patterns on it, sometimes if there is a special event he would change his attire but in Valoran there wasn't much to celebrate. He opened the bag to look inside and he cracked a smile,"Thank you Philia I am pleased. I hope you didn't have any trouble during your mission." I was going to answer no, however I remembered the incident that happened at the lake,"Actually sire, There was an incident." I explained what happened at the lake and talked about the figure I saw, and the king was paying close attention the entire time."That is strange I must say," the king said after I finished explaining,"Will to take a visit to Dr.Mata?"
"That is what I intend to do after this, I told about the incident because you have the right to know about what happens on the missions," I replied. He just looked at me,"Very well. I hope that everything is alright. I'll send Massager when there is another mission for you" I looked straight at him," I'm sure that I'm fine your majesty and I'll wait for my next mission." I bowled down for the king and then turned to leave. I am sure that I'm perfectly fine. I left the throne room and walked passed the gardens again. After I get home I have to get an appointment with Dr.Mata to figure out what happened at that lake. But first I gotta go home.
