When Two Paths Meet

Episode 2: An experiment?

I quickly opened the door and saw the man who my mom was making out with infront of my door. "What is it" I asked. "Oh hello there, your mom wanted me to call you down for dinner" the man said. I looked at him and nodded and immediately closed the door.

"Ugh" I sighed as I fell face plant on my bed. "Why can't my mom jus stop seeing men for once in her life", I said to myself and glanced over the only portrait I had of my father."My mom still never tell me the reason why he left, what if he was actually a good man." I thought then slowly drifted off  to sleep.

Ugh it's been a week since I started that school. Though the learning institution is great but I haven't even made one FRIEND. And mom is no help whatsoever she's brought home two different men in one week. Ugh.

It was an early Saturday morning and I was going for a walk in the neighborhood. I wore an oversized hoodie and sweatpants and took my bag with me obviously because I can't leave anything personal to me in my own house why because my mom is so nosy.

As I was getting ready to go home I heard something moving in the bushes. I looked over and saw something go by. As curious as my mind I followed it. I came across an Old tree. I then tripped over something. I looked up and saw something like a little girl but it had ears and a tail and it was covered on blood. I quickly stood up and picked up a stick and poked it. It moved which got me startled. I dropped the stick and touched it.

Immediately the thing stood up and attacked me. I screamed in fear and pushed it off me. I stood up again and brushed the dirt off my clothes. I walked towards it slowly and reached out for it. "Hey there you little thing I'm not going to hurt you" I said as I touched it. It turned to me slowly and jumped into my hands. The thing looked so scared and I couldn't just leave in there. I immediately took off my hoodie and wrapped it around it. Then I made my way home.

Luckily my mom wasn't home yet so I ran up to my bedroom locked the door and put the thing on my bed. I then got the first aid kit and began treating the injured thing. As I finished I changed it into one of my smallest clothes. I myself was tired and went to take a bath. As I finished I wore one of my tops and a gym . I opened the door and saw the thing looking at me. The thing then spoke "W-who are you?" I flinched a little and said "Hi there my name is Solar what's your name" I asked. It felt stupid to ask it it's name. It answered " My name is Experiment-101" I was shocked and asked,"Experiment? Well I can't go around calling you that now? What's your real name?" It looked at me raising it's ear up which I found kind of cute. "I- ... It's Hatsune" it said looking away from me. I had a lot of questions to ask it.

I then smiled and gently tapped her head. "Well that's a nice name" I said before I was cut off guard when it, I mean she jumped in my hands. I looked at her she had the most beautiful amber eyes I have ever seen. Her hair curled and laid on her back. Her light skin and her tail that kept wagging in every direction. I gently held her and sighed. A knock on my door startled me and I immediately let her go

"Sweetie, I'm home, how are you? I stopped at a restaurant while coming home from work." My mom said in the most caring voice ever. Well until I heard her kiss someone outside the door.  "Coming mom, I'll be down in a few minutes " I yelled making sure she could hear me. I sighed again then looked down at the girl. She snuggled my pillow in her hands and smiled. I smiled back.
