Chapter 6( At the hospital)

      They both entered the hospital. Ivy didn't like the strange smell of hospital but had to endure it because of David's sister,Diana. He went to a nurse and asked her something then came back to ivy.' Let's go.' He said and she followed him. They took a left turn and finally they stopped in front of a maternity ward. Ivy could hear the laughing voices inside and was glad everyone is happy.
             David opened the door and they walked in carefully. Ivy sighted Diana sitted upright on the bed,a cute little baby in a cot beside her and a tall man sitted beside the baby closely. She also saw Mr Smith and smiled at him lightly. ' Ivy! you are here?' Diana asked.' Of course, you thought I won't come?' she asked as she went to Mr Smith.' Good afternoon sir. What about Mrs Smith?' ' Afternoon Ivy, Dorothy went to the doctor just now.' ' Okay.' She replied politely.
             She went to Diana's husband' congratulations,Mr Williams. ' Thank you, Miss Ivy. Am I right?' He asked smilling broadly.' Yes....aww, look at this cute little guy. He is a boy right?' she asked as she gazed at the baby sleeping peacefully.
          ' He is as cute as me.' Diana's husband replied beaming at the baby lovingly.' Hey David,You came with Ivy right?' Diana's asked and David went to her, hugging her gently.' Thank you for yesterday, David. I really appreciate.' she said and he released her.' Don't mention Diana, what are we siblings for? Ivy wants to give you something.' He replied and she looked at Ivy.
          ' Oh.....am sorry, Ivy. How are you doing?' ' Am very fine Diana,I should actually be asking you that.' She replied. ' I am very fine and so is my baby,so what brought you here?' ' What will bring me here than you and this chubby baby, look I've brought flowers and new clothes for you and your baby.' she replied and gave her the Carrier bag .' Thank you so much, Ivy I so much appreciate.' she said as she collected bag.
             ' That's nothing,so Mr Williams. What name are you thinking for the baby, cause I have cute names for him.' ' Oh, we've not decided. It is after we leave the hospital.' He replied.' Nice, but I've names like Dave, John, Gideon and so much more.' Ivy said and they all smiled happily.' What about you Ivy, when   will you think about a name for your own baby?' David's father asked and Ivy looked at her for a second then managed a fake smile.
           ' I.......I want to meet someone outside hospital, I'll be right back.' She said and went out of the room before anyone could stop her.That question hitted a weak spot in her body. She felt really hurt and felt like crying her eyes out,she saw a nurse lead a patient out of the room beside Diana's room and entered wanting to cry in private. She sat on the bed and cried freely, wishing she had her own baby. A sweet baby that will keep her busy and won't even give her the chance to think about her ugly past.
            If only Henry had gotten her pregnant but he did not even look at her twice. She is such a beautiful woman with perfect body so why didn't he make love to her? She asked herself. They had been together for over two years and he didn't touch her just making her suffer.
         She didn't notice someone walked in until he sat beside her offering her a handkerchief. She collected it and cleaned her eyes then stood up.' Thank you.' ' What is wrong Ivy? You look downcast,are you okay?' He asked worriedly.' Am not okay David! Am not!' She replied wanting to pour her mind out to someone, someone who understands her.
        ' Is it about what my mom said?' ' Yes actually,I don't think she said anything bad or wrong. She is absolutely right,I am also a human and am I not fit to have a baby. I'll be 27 on December David. Only if Henry.........
           He placed his finger on her lips gently. ' Do not mention his name again. He is gone and you have so many admirers, why don't you give them a try?  He asked
             It is not about giving them a try David, it is about how loyal they will be,I don't want to have a life like that of Henry with anyone , I don't want to suffer any heart breaks again .
         ' What about me? Am I not good enough  for you?' He asked and she smiled lightly raising her hand to his cheek. ' You are my one and only best friend I can talk to,David . Don't think about marrying me , I am not good enough for you ........
                He gave her a sudden peck on her lips gently then stared at her.' Don't say that again Ivy, I've always loved you and I know you are the one for me, I am madly in love with you, just accept and I will make you the happiest woman.' ' No,no David........ A kiss landed on her parted lips,this time deeper. He didn't give her the chance to say another word as he kept kissing her very slowly. Ivy felt like she needed this, surrendered to him willingly as he explored her mouth.
          David used this opportunity to slid his hand into her shirt, downward to her breast which was cupped by a soft brazzer and started rubbing her nipple wanting more of her. Ivy grasped softly as David's fingers started caressing her nipple, it sent utmost pleasure to her body. She broke the kiss and hugged David but he didn't stop.
         ' David..... David,we have to stop this. This is very wrong.' She whispered into his ear but he did not obey. He pushed her gently down on the bed and laid over her looking into her eyes lovingly.
              ' You say something but your body says another, you want this badly as I do Ivy,do not pretend. If this is the only way I can get you to accept my love for you,on this bed because I can't see you suffering in silence again, so be it!' He replied and began unbuttoning her shirt. David was right and wrong,she wanted to feel like a real woman,she wanted to be explored and the first time she had her first kiss was with Richard but she wanted more than a kiss,more than caressing. She wanted to experience what couples do but was not sure she was ready or David was the right person.
            Ivy stared at David as he finally unbuttoned her shirt to the end,he looked different from the normal David she knew. He looked more like a hungry man, not hungry for food but something else.
         He was about to swoop down on her chest when Ivy pushed him to a side and buttoned her shirt back.
        ' Let's forget something like this happened between us,and let me say this again. You are only my best friend not something more.' She said and went out leaving the amazed David.
