Dear Killua,

I've found out what it's like to lose a comrade and friend. I wish you were here, not to experience this nightmare, but just so I could be next to you. So I guess I wish I could be there with you.

Seeing how easy it is to die and how hard it is for people to actually be identified and shipped home for a funeral has made me more resilient than ever. I'll come back home to you, and I'll come back home to you alive. Because what kind of fiancé would I be if I was dead? Haha!

They said the minimum serving time is around ten months as of right now, so I'll be home in no time!

Do you remember that one pocket watch you bought me from that flea market in Manhattan? Well, I do. I've carried it around in my chest pocket since day one, and I have no plans to take it off. It's given me good luck and it smells like your hand lotion, so I'd like to think you're my lucky charm. Anything you touch has bound to be blessed.

I love you so much, Killua, and I can't wait to come home to you. And if things go well, maybe we can finally get married! Of course, that's if you still would want to and all.

Lots of love, your fiancé, Gon Freecss
