"Jungwon?" He heard Jihee call his name from behind the door. He looked at the digital clock next to his bed and realized he was late for school.
Immediately running to the door, he opened it to see Jihee standing there quite surprised that he was still asleep when normally he was a morning person. She reached out to his forehead in order to check if he has a fever but upon realizing his temperature was normal, she grew even more confused.
"Are you okay?" She asked him. "I've been knocking on your door multiple times now." She pouts.
"I overslept, sorry." He apologized. "I'll get ready quickly, can you wait for a while?"
She smiled. "Of course." She nods before Jungwon closed the door to get ready.
Thankfully, it didn't take him very long to get ready and when he got downstairs Jihee was already sitting by the living room watching a tv show with his grandmother. His grandmother had developed quite the liking with Jihee especially now that she was very aware of how they felt for each other.
"I think he's dumb for letting her go." He hears his grandmother tell Jihee.
She chuckles. "You have a point but the girl wanted to find herself, I think that's a valid reason."
"Still, isn't love supposed to conquer everything?" Even with his grandmother's back in front of him, he could tell she was frowning.
"I guess they're one of the few cases that doesn't apply to that saying." Jihee replies. Sensing that someone was staring at her, she looks to her back and sees Jungwon standing there by the staircase.
"Let's go?" He speaks and she nods, standing up from the couch. "I'll be taking her now grandma before you make her finish that whole episode."
"Call your parents by the way and be careful you two!" She yells to them first before they took their exit. "And bring Jihee back here!"
"You had a dream about me didn't you?" She straightforwardly asked him the moment they got out, quite frankly even if it wasn't funny a chuckle still managed to escape his lips. He guessed he just found entertainment by how much she knew not just about him, but about everything.
He nods, even telling her the details. Judging by how she looked, it seems she found the memory very personal or rather something she refused to relive judging by how she looked so troubled to reply. He nudged her in the arm softly when she was too quiet for too long, she mutters a sorry even managing to give him a soft smile but that didn't change the fact she was so tense.
"I don't why she's showing you all of this. Is this a part of my punishment?" She asked, even looking up to the sky as if fate was watching her from above. "Still to include you in it? I will never truly understand how that lady's head even work."
He chuckles. "Hey, it's fine. I can handle all the dreams she's going to give to me, nothing could change how I look at you." He assured her.
"As long as you don't look at me like a good person, then I can assure you your opinion of me would stay the same if you've seen what I've done." She tells him, chuckling a little. "Should we just ditch school? We already missed our first class, might as well do something fun."
