I should like to note three things:
The main part of this story was written in 2015; the 'Tale of the Skaiter', in 2018 - my discerning readers will see easily the marked difference in writing styles.
In typing, I have come across several bits - especially in the early parts - I am not fully satisfied with, but, as far as possible, have kept the story the same as it was in the original manuscript.
This is the story of things going terribly wrong; a story centred around The Skaiter, whom my readers will meet in my other works (should I decide to publish them). May my readers find this book a joy, in the plot or in the writing style, and "none wish to lay it".
Lastly, for certain reasons, this book has no Chapter 1.
