PATIENCE | Jungkook x Reader

CHAPTER 3

Jungkook's POV:

I get home from the studio to get changed for the party. The other members are dressing up individually so no group outfits. I wonder to myself what Y/N could be dressing in. Could she go for a pink summer dress or a black tight dress? I imagine her wearing both and I realize how creepy I'm being. I quickly snap myself out of thought and pick my favorite outfit.

I walk out of my house and get into my car to drive over to the boys. When I get to the studio all ready to go I see Y/N coming out of the bathroom with a beautiful red dress that goes down to her knees. I stop in my tracks as I see her. Why does she always seem to fluster me? I see Namjoon running in the hallway straight in Y/N's path. I run as fast as I could to get to her in time. Namjoon bumps into her pushing her to the floor. I get over there quick enough to catch her. I hold her in my arms for what feels like an eternity. She opens her eyes and sees my face and immediately looks shocked.

"How did you get over here so fast?" she asks. Before I have time to answer her question, I realize Namjoon is standing right over us.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" he bows. I looks at me with curious eyes. "We are about to leave JK." he says and then walks away. I look back at Y/N and figure I should probably let go of her. I let go and we stand up straight.

"Well I'll see you at the party." she says and walks off. I go to the car and get in.

"What took you so long?" Jimin says

"He was talking to some girl" Namjoon says interrupting me.

"She's not some girl" I say as if I was offended. They all look at me with a surprised expression on their face.

"Do you like her?" Suga says. I scoff and try my best to hide my feelings for that woman.

"No I don't like her, she's just my assistant." I say coldly. I can tell they aren't fully convinced, but they drop the subject.

We soon arrive at the party and when I walk in my ears are flooded by all the music and talking. That's one thing I hate about going to big parties is the loudness of it. Sadly I have had to get used to it since of the whole being famous thing.

I wonder what the boys are doing. I look around and see Jimin and Taehyung dancing with Lizzo and her friends. I then turn to see Hobi and Namjoon by some famous influential people. Lastly, I see Jin and Suga sitting down in a booth together having a drink and laughing about something.

I feel myself shift through the crowd of people and I find myself in the corner of the party. Since I don't know much English it's hard for me to walk up to people with confidence and start a conversation. I look for Jimin and Taehyung, but fail.

I feel a tap on my shoulder and I turn around quickly and see Y/N. My anxiety around all these unfamiliar people washes away from her presence.

"Hey Jungkook!" she says happily with a cute smile on her face.
