[A/N: Y/N goes by They/Them and will have neutral words like person.]
"Are you sure I should be going into that forest..?" You asked your friend. They had dared you to enter the dark forest that is behind your house for your game of Truth or Dare because they knew you were deeply afraid of it. "Oh come on Y/N! Are you really that afraid of some forest just because you heard insane laughter from it one time? It's not like some crazed person lives in that forest, laughing like a maniac." They laughed. "Yeah.. you're right.. It's probably all in my head anyway." You nod, brushing it off. "Now, go into that forest! I bet you'll make it out in no time and you'll find that nothing's there." Your friend impatiently rushes you. "Alright, alright.. I will.." You take a step forward. You take a deep breath, and start heading towards the forest but you were stopped by your friend. "I'll give you a flashlight, since like you said, it is dark." They hand you a flashlight and step back, leaning on the front door. "Thanks.." You mumble as you turn it on and head deep into the forest.

And before you knew it, you were incredibly deep in the forest, the trees gently swaying from the cold wind that cut into your skin ever so harshly. Could you at least have been given a jacket before you ventured into this place? At least you got something to help you see..
Your thoughts were paused by the sound of someone running from your left. You quickly looked over and you swore to yourself up and down that you saw an extremely pale-skinned person who adorned a ruined scarecrow hat run by. Their skin looked completely white with just a small glimpse of them. There's no way someone is really in this forest. You were just going mad with paranoia.. Right? You sighed. "I guess I did the dare.. Probably should head back.." You nod to yourself, walking back. Just as you were nearly out, a cold hand yanks on your leg, forcing you to the ground and letting the thing that grabbed you drag you away. You quickly looked over to see who it was, but for some reason, you were extremely exhausted just the moment that they touched you. It was like some sort of soothing spell that they put on you. You were too tired to fight back and fell asleep.—---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you awoke, you weren't in the forest anymore. Except you were in a.. house? The wallpaper was peeling off and the place had an awful aroma to it. As if a rotting carcass was present here. In the midst of the lights in the room flickering, struggling to stay on and floorboards creaking as you got up, you heard a distant song being played. It sounded like it came from a radio from the poor quality of the song. Unless it was just how distant it was. You looked around. All the windows were boarded up, including the front door. Did whoever used to live here or currently live here do that in fear of something? You weren't sure anymore. All you knew is that you needed to get out of here. You did absolutely NOT want to stay here. You froze when you heard footsteps and the floorboards creaking once again. You looked around, looking for something to hide in or under. There was a table. Maybe that will work for now. You quickly hid under the table, trying to stay silent. A person walked in. They looked.. oddly similar to the person you saw in the forest. Their sickly white skin and scarecrow hat. You would immediately recognize those two features anywhere. All they wore was an orange-ish sleeveless shirt with what looked like dirt or even.. rust..? on it, accompanied with light blue pants. 'How can someone's shirt even get rusted..? It's not made of metal.. There's no way that's rust on their shirt..' You thought. They just.. stood there, almost as if they were in a trance of some sort. They suddenly bursted into laughter, holding their head. 'What the hell is wrong with this person..?' You were incredibly concerned. You accidentally made a sound while trying to quietly get out from under the table. Their neck snapped audibly to look over at the table. Shit.. You're definitely dead if they find you. You cringed at the sound internally. They walked over to the table. All of a sudden, they spoke. "Are you playin' hide and seek with ME?", giggling afterward. Their voice sounded like a male's. Almost in a psychotic way. And with what he said.. Does he think this is a game that you're 'playing' with him? He reached under, gripping your arm roughly as he pulled you out. He lifted you up to face-level. "Well I found you so easily.." The deep markings on the sides of his mouth freaked you out. He dropped you. "Although, I do admit.. That was a clever hidin' spot." He put a bloodied hand on his face. You stared at him. He creepily smiled. "You're not much of a talker, are ya?" He asked, almost as if he was annoyed by that. "What am I even supposed to say? You can't expect me to have something to say for every encounter I have." You hissed. His sinister smile faded immediately. "Oh, I see you're rather hard to get.." He moved closer.
