Chapter 1

I woke up to someone banging on my door this morning.

What could anyone want at 8:30am? I thought to myself.

I got up grumpily and opened the door to see my mother standing there with her hands on her hips.
"I told you to stock up on blood before it was daytime. You know we're running low, Ashley." My mom scolded at me. I huffed upset with myself, knowing I'll have to go hunting now in broad daylight.

"Don't forget to wear multiple lights to avoid as much light as possible." I heard my mom yell as I threw my hood on, and head out the door.

Damn, it's so sunny today. I really messed up. I thought as I started my day hunting as early as 9am. As my day went on, I had hardly any luck with any animals to snack on.

That's when I smelled something strong. Finally something to sink my teeth in. I thought before I followed the strong scent with my nose. The smell lead me to a deer chewing on some grass as green as could be. As I begin to approach it, I seen something jump in front of it and attack it before I could. It was hard to make out who it was at first, but then they turned around and we made eye contact.

I've never held such strong eye contact with anyone like this before in my entire 15 years of living. I found myself even falling in love with him, and even claimed him right there and then. He was very handsome, with a smooth and beautiful light shade of brown skin. There was light in his eyes that made me want to share all of my secrets with him. His dark brown curly hair looked so soft, I wanted to run my fingers through it all day long. Then I realized something that made me want to take all of these thoughts back.

He's a werewolf.
