Rosemarie

She glanced at the suspicious paper bag that Clavis had dumped on her right after giving her advice on how to tame Chevalier. Honestly she wanted to chuck the whatever was in the bag out the window but for all she knew it could actually be important...

And a day passed by and she still couldn't find Chevalier.

And I still have this mystery that Clavis had fostered on me, she glared at the offending package. She didn't investigate what was inside, for all she knew it could be booby trapped. And so it was kept farthest from her bed near a open window that night.

Espeon had approached it, the pokemon poked and prodded it before giving her the Ok, it's safe. Espeon was pretty good at detecting dangers so she trusted the pokemon and slept soundly.

Chevalier really likes to collect oddballs, she decided after dealing with that seductive fox prince Nokto who tried lure her into his bed. Not gonna happen buddy !

Chevalier's library was probably once an archive room as it's door was well-used and connected to the very impressive library. Books were considered a luxury in this world and Chevalier's personal library was incredible, books tightly packed.

Poetry, plays and other fascinating books were filled to the brim like a vast sea. It was a perfect paradise for a book-lover like herself.

Something bumped into her from behind, turning to see what had bumped into her and saw the very person she had been looking for after a day of fruitless searching and having her personal space invaded by a certain fox prince.

"I'm so sorry !" She immediately apologized, so sure he would verbally lash out or give her a hard stare only he simply glanced at me for a moment before returning to the book in his hands.

"Is that 'The Romance of The Rose' ?" She caught sight of the title, it was the last book she expected to see him have. Any uncomfortable feelings she might have had immediately dissapeared.

Ice blue eyes immediately focused on her. Maybe he hadn't expected her to know about the book, literacy wasn't very common since books were on the pricey side. "You're familiar with it ?" Chevalier  questioned, maybe he hadn't expected her to know this book.

"Yes ! It's about a love story written by a author from a foreign country but it's difficult to get ahold of since translated books aren't widespread in our country," she replied. The earliest book of it had been written in it's original language, thanks to her studiest nature however she took the book as a challange and was able to read it without aid from a book.

"If even a simpleton like you can read it, it must be fairly trivial," Chevalier dismissed not knowing how deep her self study was. She felt a bit miffed by his dismissal but unlike before, beither his voice nor his manner carried the cruel edge she had come to expect. Right now, Chevalier seemed just a little easier to talk to.

"That book goes into real depth about love. I found it a very interesting read," she commented. "....Interesting  ?" It was a book about love.

"Yes !" The protaginast has a dream about falling in love with a rose. The entire book was a story about love written in beautiful prose, and reading it got me wondering about what love really is. "In particular, I liked the scene where they were arguing about the essence of love."

"Absurd." Chevalier seemed to ha e been so absorbed by the book, but he curtly dismissed it. "The way the book allegorically expresses emotiones is fine, but the act itself deeply about love is foolish."
