(A/N: I don't own that video or song, I added it simply because it reminded me of speeding bullet)
Scout was sitting in his room, doodling some sketches on a paper on his desk. Next to him was a record player, currently playing 'It Never Rains in Southern California' which was unusual for Scout to listen to anything other than Tom Jones Classics. His phone rang out from beside him; he stopped the record player as he quickly responded, noticing the contact's name. "Oh, Hey Miss Pauling! Need something?" He spoke after answering the call, "Thanks Scout, we've got a contract for you and Sniper. Can you start packing? It's a long trip." The Bostanian immediately jumped at the chance to impress Miss Pauling. "Oh yeah, I got it! Don't even worry about it Miss Paulin' me and Snipes are professionals!" Miss Pauling sighed, seemingly put at ease by his words, "Thanks, Sniper has already been informed of this contract and he has all the pinpoints of the locations you'll be heading to." Scout leaned back in his chair nodding along to Miss Pauling's words.
"If you don't have anything to add, I'll leave you to get packing." She would continue, "Actually, are ya gonna be comin' with us?" Scout questioned, seeing this as the perfect opportunity to ask her out. "No, unfortunately I have to stay at the base for the rest of the team's regular work and since we are criminally understaffed, I'm afraid I can't be there." Miss Pauling sighed. "Ah, yeah that's too bad. Well I guess I better start packing, huh?" The runner half laughed, in an attempt to lighten the mood. "Sure, good luck Scout." She said flatly as the call ended
Scout scratched the back of his neck, awkwardly. He stood up and pulled a suitcase from under his bed, throwing a few of his clothes into it. The flanker hadn't been super close with Sniper but he wasn't too worried about it. Scout finished packing and headed out the door. He followed down the wide hallway that he had become far too used to. The runner made it outside of the base, the hot mid-summer heat of Mexico greeting him with a harsh contrast from the cool ventilated indoors. The scout quickly made his way to Sniper's van, not wanting to spend too much time in the feverish weather.
Knock Knock
From the outside of the van Scout could hear a few things clatter and hit the ground. The door swung open with Sniper staring down at him. "Oh-Hey Sniper, did I wake ya?" Scout tried to ignore the concerning odor coming from the marksman. "Nah, I was just resting. What do ya need?" Scout shoved his hands in his pockets, "Miss Paulin' said you knew where were s'posed to be going for the contract?"
