It was just a normal day for Salem and her forces: plotting and planning to rule Remnant. But then, one day, a powerful beast appeared in the realm, destroying all in its wake and path, with it being commanded by an unknown sorcerer.

Salem and her forces tried to fight back, but it ended horribly for them. Most of them have been slain, in horrible and brutal fashions.
But some survivors managed to escape its wrath and escape. But not without consequences.
(POV CHANGE: EMERALD)
It's all gone.

Cinder, Mercury, everything!
Only me, Salem and Hazel were the only ones left. But Salem have been drained of all of her magic and powers and is now in a comatose like state while Hazel is greatly injured from his battle against that freak-show's pet monster. But he can still carry Salem perfectly fine.
We need to get somewhere safe. But where?
"Shade." Salem mutters in her sleep. Shade Academy? Why would we go there? Well, I have heard rumors of a student with the ability to transform into powerful beasts.
He does seem like he's our best option we've got. "The only portal to Vacuo we have left is near the graveyard." Hazel says. "That's not too far. But can't we make it?" I asked in concern.
"We can, but we need to move or else that sorcerer and his beast will find us." Hazel says as he smirks. "Unfortunately for them, I know a shortcut. Just follow me." He says.

Thanks to Hazel's shortcut, we've arrived at the portal. "Quickly, we need to get to Shade, before that bastard shows up." I said as we enter through the portal.
(Here's chapter 5 done. Sorry for the shortness of this chapter. Anyways, next chapter will uncover some of Oscar's deepest/darkest secrets, as well as explain some of parts of his past.)
