Overwhelm. That is what this feeling was, the overwhelming feeling of laying here on a stone-cold alter bedding. The overwhelming feeling of knowing what was coming next. How stupid was she? Joining this place? Joining THIS god-forsaken cult. If Melody were to tell herself that she was dumb enough to run away and hitchhike with two other girls who promised her a safe home and a place where she would know how it truly felt to be a family; she wouldn't have believed that much? Why would some girl that had a small family who treated her greatly due to being the eldest child just run away? Well, it's simple. It was all over a disagreement with the college. A small stupid disagreement that she had with her parents after she found out that used her college fund money to buy the business that her family now runs. How could she be so stupid? Why couldn't she just suck it up and took out a loan like many of the kids her age at the time would do if that kind of scenario would've happened? There are so many things she could've done but she chose to leave. She chose to run away. Well, she was hotheaded. But at the same time it was more of a, Why would you let it get to this point? She could've just left for the night and gone to her friend's house or her boyfriend's at the time. But she chose to run away. All these poor decisions makings that she has done brought her here. Lying on the cold stone bed that they made for her, she had to own up to the decisions she made. There was no backing out now. Looking to her right all she saw were cloaked people standing there in lines as they were all chanting some language that she could barely understand. "Are you ready my dear?", A voice asks her as she looks up now face to face with the leader of the cult or what they call 'the father'. Tears began to form as she shakes her head furiously and all he did was let out a light laugh standing up straight. "Brothers' and sisters' we are all gathered here today for a ceremony! For our victory! For what is being gifted to us by sister Melody! Our sister will be given a worthy task, a task only she can accomplish as the only witch that is left of her coven", The father shouts out to the many cloaked people that were there. Cheers erupted as Melody closed her eyes tightly praying to whatever God was willing to hear her pray. All she wanted was to get out of here, to just run and run until she was home in her mother's arms. The things she would do again to see her father and him tell her that it's all okay and it's over now. She knew they would be over the moon to see her again after three years of her being missing. She could only imagine the emotional reunion she would have with her family and how happy her brothers would be to see her again. She knew the lecture they would give her and how long it would be but none of that bothered her once. All she wanted was to be with her family again, not this damn cult! "Sister Melody the purest of us all will be carry Lord Satan's child. He asked for her! Because he knew she would be the strongest out of all of us to hold his child! To hold our weapon! To hold the antichrist! Now brothers and sisters join me! Join me in the summoning of our lord!", The father shouts out as everyone began to chant together every single one of them slicing the palm of their hands and crouching down to touch the symbols that were made in front every single one of them. The father sliced his right palm open as he clenched his palm shut bringing it above Melody's face as droplets of blood began to fall onto her forehead and all Melody could do was let out whimpers as she clenched her hands into a fist letting her nails dig into her palm. "Relax now child for our Lord will be here soon, I can feel him and I know you can too", he says as a gust of wind came through blowing out all the candles. Every symbol began to glow a bright red light and all Melody could feel is fear and regret. "He's here", was the last thing Melody was able to hear before her and her thoughts were consumed by darkness and silence.

The months went by fast or was it that this pregnancy was being enhanced due to what Melody is carrying inside of her? Sitting there in a rocking chair she dully looked out into the forest in front of her lately she's been complicated about whether to run or not. Just run and run and get to safety so she can have this child without anything going wrong. That's all she wanted, she didn't want to have to hand her child off to them. For them to turn a sweet innocent child into a weapon. Yeah, the child was the antichrist but no one deserves what they were planning on putting the child through. Placing a hand on her stomach she glanced around her surroundings and then glanced into the building that she was staying in. After the ritual is what they called it but Melody enjoyed calling it the sacrifice that occurred those many nights ago they left her alone and kept her here in this cabin deep in the woods. Away from their sanctuary or maybe it was to keep her away from curious minds. It wasn't uncommon for cults to be found out and taken under custody. So maybe they had a plan to keep her far away from that kind of stuff to happen to her because if anyone would find out what she was carrying and what happened that night the government would want her if not them someone else would want her as well and that was something that they would want to avoid if they want to carry out their plan. "Coming to think of it...no one has come to see me or check up on me in almost a month", Melody tells herself as she went inside the building and took a look around. "Maybe just maybe they got caught finally...after all these years...I can leave...I can run...I need to act fast", She says as she grabbed a backpack that they gave her a while back and she began to pack stuff into it in a hurry as she kept taking glances out of the window. She just needed to act fast and act now, yeah she might've not thought this plan out well but it's thought out well enough for her to just run and try to find safety. Safety. That was the only thing that can be on her mind is safety. Safety for herself and the child she is carrying inside her. Quickly grabbing the last bit of stuff she knew that she was going to need to run out of the building. Runaway from the cult. Away from the poor decision that she had made. Away to give her child the life that they deserve but foolish girl should've stayed inside the building. Foolish girl should've stayed with the cult. Foolish girl should've stayed with her parents. Because what she doesn't know is that she caused hell for herself and the children that she was carrying inside her.
This is the story about Snowing "Snow" James Adams,
And the hell that she has and will be going through.
