Karan studied momani for a second which she noticed

Monami: what?

Karan: nothing sometimes I feel as if you want to say something but you are holding it back

Monami gulped and then slowly smiled

Monami: you're overthinking it's nothing like that karan...dont worry about me too much she said moving to hug him

Karan: I know but still...anyways where is abhi has he arrived

Monami: haan he has gone to see a patient in the ICU but from the nurse I heard he has been here since last night and hasn't taken a break

Karan: that is abhimanyu for us... come before our duties starts leta go and see kadhoos dr which patients address him as he said making monami chuckle

He held her hand as they both walked towards the ICU where abhimanyu was

As they reached near the door they looked through the glass to see their friend checking the pulse of the patient

Monami knocked on the door making abhimanyu turn his head to see monami along with karan...nodding his head slightly he turned back to his patient while the two came in and sat on the couch

Abhimanyu: dont you both have your duties yet ? He asked after a min as he was writing something down on the patient's report

Karan: not yet...we thought we would pay you a visit first he said

Abhimanyu: am I a patient that you have come to see me he said finally turning towards his friends

Monami: noo but it could be that you turn into one

Abhimanyu: and what makes you think that? he said  putting his setiscope around his neck

Monami: for not eating on time and also not taking proper rest

Abhimanyu: I'm not Hungry and I am not feeling tired ....when I feel any of that then I'll stop

Karan: come on abhi you have been working since last night...take a break for a bit

Abhimanyu: well I enjoy working...and like I said I'll take a break when I feel the need to

Monami: stop been stubborn

Abhimanyu : I'm not been stubborn you both are

Karan : beta you havent seen my stubbornness yet

Abhimanyu: and you know mine very well he said in a serious tone with a small smile

Karan: I know yours since childhood mere dost now are you coming to get some break or not?

Abhimanyu: no he said looking at his friends and looked at his patient who was falling asleep due to the strong medicine...he walked out of the ICU followed by monami and karan

Karan: ok then he said shrugging and took his phone out from his pocket and dialled a number

After few secs the phone was answered by someome

"Hello"

Abhimanyu stopped...eyes widened for a sec and then he turned and glared at karan who was smiling

Karan: hello manjari maa

Manjari: how are you beta and dont you have work today?

Karan: I'm fine manjari maa and yes I do have work today but I called to tell you something

Manjari: which is? And where is abhi?

Before karan can say anything abhi answered as he walked closer to karan .
