Magic. It was a simple concept in this world with their affinities to magic and their imagination being the only variables that influence its output.

Two people can perform the same spell but it would have varying strengths due to them having different affinities. Their imagination would also influence the outcome as each person has different expectations on how the spell should turn out.

What if these two people had similar affinities and thoughts when they performed a spell? The one with the stronger spell would cancel out the weaker one.

There had never been an instance where two similar spells could fuse with one another. It was impossible to counteract the cancelation of the weaker spell.

However, Adam and Shina did it. Not only did the two have similar affinities and thoughts at the time, but Adam's unique power allowed the magic they unleashed to combine instead of canceling each other out.

The darkened skies were no more. There were lingering flames and charred earth all across the training grounds. Elizabeth laid in a hole in the ground laughing like a madman.

"That was so much fun!" She yelled out. Elizabeth wasn't upset in the slightest. As a matter of fact, she was excited to see how much those could grow.

"Ely, are you okay!?" Adam and Shina descended to the ground with concern over her safety. She patted off the dust from her clothes and stood up to face them with a smile.

"I'm fine. Just need a little hair trimming here and there. Do you mind, Adam?"

"Not at all. Come over to my room later."

"Got it, thanks."

Elizabeth noticed Shina's face that was covered with envy and just patted hr head, treating her like a child.

"Don't worry, Shina. I won't steal him away from you."

The tomato hid behind Adam's back out of embarrassment as the Elizabeth had a good chuckle from her cute reaction.

The king and queen, alongside Scott and Celia stood on the sides with their mouth dropped to the floor. It had started off with a fight against the two knights before it quickly turned into a duel of the ages between light and darkness.

They expected Adam and Shina to use ice and water magic as it would complement each other. However, they both chose to wield fire with a terrifying compatibility.

Explosive condensed flames that destroyed everything in its path would be the easiest way to describe their power.

It goes without saying that they swore to not ever agitate those three.

[Night before the ceremony. Adam's Room.]

"You're still as good as ever at this. It has been such a long time since I've last had it done by you."

"It was just like yesterday to me. You were practically begging at my feet for me to do it."

"I guess I did."

Elizabeth admired her new look with the large mirror in the room. She was happy to have her hair done by Adam like the old days. Even though her hair was a mess in certain areas, Adam still managed to work around it and made it look presentable.

Shina was watching from the bedside, her face tinted with a hint of jealousy. She wished that she could have met Adam earlier and have such a close relationship with him.
