Shutting off her engine, Reese booked it upstairs with so much excitement. Liam Andersen had been her best friend since freshman year in high school, her biggest supporter and partner in crime.
Turning on the hot water, she threw her clothes in her laundry bag before getting in. It had been almost two years since they last seen each other when Reese graduated from USC. Reese was the only child, her mother was put in prison for drugs before she could talk, leaving her father as a single father in the Marines.
He did his best. He damn sure did a great job with her.
Gunnery Sergeant Jonathan Nathan Parker.
Unfortunately he was killed in action when she was sixteen, just a junior in high school. A huge military funeral. His fellow Marines showed up, about hundred people. Only four family members of the Parker family showered up. Jonathan's younger brother and his family.
His younger brother, Paul Parker took in Reese with his wife Paula and two toddlers, Ryan and Dylan. Reese was very thankful that even with her father gone, she wasn't alone at her time of grief and growth. Let's just say Reese struggled all the way around in high school. Nearly got kicked off the Varsity Team when she almost broke the brakes off the teams Quarterback.
Bad mouthing her recent decreased father just because he was over dramatically pissed about her being on the team. That'll build character.
Finishing in the shower, she got out with a towel around her as she picked out an outfit. Nothing too nice, but not too causal. Just in between. Getting dressed, she blowed-dry her hair putting her hair product.
