This book has the basic idea of a plot where the lives of Amy, Mikhal and Israel are tied to one another in the worst time of history, world war 2.

Fictional book - based on Holocaust time period - every character is fictional.
Amy - main character 17 years old - black hair, brown eyes
Henry- amy's brother, 19 years old - black hair, brown eyes
Israel- main character, 17 years old - bad boy type handsome - brown hair, green eyes
Mikhal - main character, 17 years old - gentleman type handsome - blond hair, blue eyes
Martha - Henry's crush, 17 years old - blond hair, blue eyes
Basic idea
A girl 17 years old from Poland visits to relatives home in Germany in year 1939. There she meets a very handsome tall guy named Mikhal. They meet at a library and are immediately attracted to each other but Amy only stays in Germany for one month so they couldn't confess.
Year 1940
Everything is chaotic. Amy's relatives and other Jews are forced out of Germany. Hitler attacks Poland.
Amy's family are constantly threatened her family shop is vandalized she can't go out anymore. It's not safe.
Year 1941 Amy is 19 years old. Her family finds a Jewish boy for her named Israel. Israel is extremely handsome and has got this bad boy vibe whereas mikhal had the gentlemen vibe. Amy and Israel don't get along and constantly fight. One day when there was family gathering. All Jewish families are forced out of their house and are required to shift into a Ghetto.
Year 1942 Amy, Mikhal, Israel - 20 years old
Life in Ghetto is depressing. There's no enough space neither food. Amy lives with 5 other woman in a small room. Her family is sharing a home with 30 other people.
Israel's family lives inside the Ghetto to and are extremely wealthy so they don't have big problem with food.
Amy's brother works as a Jewish Police inside the Ghetto with Israel. Amy is working as a teacher for elementary school kids inside the Ghetto but suddenly there is mass selection. People are getting killed on random. Normally SS ( people who joined Nazi party and Hilter's supporters) are not inside Ghetto but today they are killing old people and people without any jobs. The schoold was closed and Amy didn't have papers anymore.
Her father told her to go to Israel's house for safety because they will not go inside his house in ghetto. Amy lives with Israel's family from that day and is working on her papers. Her brother and israel find her work papers for a factory. Israel and Amy are slowly growing closer to each other and have formed very good friendship. Amy's brother, henry loves a Jewish girl named Martha who works with Amy in the factory. Late at night, Amy, Martha, Henry and Israel go out of Ghetto to find food and hiding places outside ghetto. Martha looks like a German, blue eyes, blond hairs and for her it's very easy to decive the Nazi's but Nazi's want paper nowadays.
While Israel and Henry went to the underground( group of people both Jews and non-Jews( polish or other nationalities citizens) working against Nazi's). Martha and Amy had to go to a club to get false papers( papers which stated they are Aryans) for people inside the Ghetto. Amy wore a large hat with veils.

Woman in 90s especially Western and European wore large beret, hats with this kinda veils when they were in mourning period.
Martha had Aryan features so she didn't wore any. They were required to go to a club and meet a man named Iskar who worked as a waiter. It was considered very bad for woman to go to club especially at night.
When they went to the club, they had no idea how iskar looked except the fact that he was a waiter and was in his late forties. Martha immediately went and sat in a bar, Amy slowly followed her and noticed there are more than 3 men who looked like they're in their forties and are waiters.
If they were caught by the polish people, mostly they would get denounced and would be hanged by the SS, so they had to be extremely careful. Amy was getting anxious so she went to bathroom and fixed herself.
Meanwhile when she returned, she saw SS talking to Martha. She immediately went towards Martha and tried to grab her hand so they could run however unlike what she imagined the SS was quite young maybe their age and was flirting with Martha.
He asked her about her age and told Martha not to visit such place alone, when he found Martha was with Amy he told both of them its unsafe for women to be in such place alone and insisted on walking them home. They had no idea how to refuse him without looking anxious.
Amy lied to him and told him their uncle iskar works in the club and was a waiter here. The SS man whose named turned to be Aron wanted to see their uncle before leaving them because he was concerned for them.
Amy yelled out," Uncle Iskar" in a loud voice. Europe at 1900's was very royal and sophisticated, a girl screaming outside was seen as wild and unsophisticated. A man came towards them and Amy thought he was Iskar and went towards him. When amy was about to call him," uncle iskar". The man lectured Amy about how she was uncultured and yelling is rude.
Aron, maybe was getting suspicious of Amy so Martha held his hand and took him out of the club telling him she wants to talk to him in private.
Inside Amy finally found Iskar and took the documents from him. She didn't find Martha and had to leave the club alone. She went to their junction where they all would return from their tasks and go to the ghetto together. After waiting for sometime, Martha came to the junction and told she lied to the SS and had her drop at a fake home. After sometime, Israel and Henry came to junction and finally after taking the papers and food they went inside the Ghetto.
The part of the Ghetto they lived were relatively safe and all working people lived their. All their families had working paper which were required to live inside the Ghetto otherwise they would be sent to the trains. And people who went on the trains never came back.
Israel's family were talking about engaging Israel and Amy but suddenly there was news of mass selection. Their families had not applied for Aryan papers yet and it was unbearable to live at the Ghetto. People were hanged and shot randomly. People were dying from starvation
