Tony was bored. He'd been summoned to one of Fury's endless meetings after a long night of lab work, and really couldn't care less about whatever he would be told off for this time. Arriving on time (for once), he made his way to the seat that had somehow been claimed by him at some point within the previous months.

Looking up from his seat, Fury frowned at him. "You're late, Stark."

That couldn't be right. Tony checked the time before before raising an eyebrow at the man. "No, no for once I'm not."

Ignoring him, Fury gestured to the remaining seat in the room, which Tony took reluctantly. Standing in front of the group, the director gestured to the thin files in front of them.

"In here, you will find information on a dangerous individual SHIELD has been keeping an eye on. In recent months, he seems to have improved greatly in his fighting. Unfortunately, despite SHIELD's best efforts we can't seem to find much information on him. First sighted nearly two years ago, this man has been on our radar for a while, however he know very little. His name, age, powers: all unknown factors."

"So what changed?" Steve spoke up for the first time. "If you've known about him for so long, why only now are we finding out about him?"

Fury let out a deep sigh. "Until recently he didn't seem to be a threat. We kept an eye on him, but as he seemed to have good intentions we could let him off. We had bigger things to worry about. Now, though, his fighting skills have notably improved. It seems that while SHIELD has been keeping an eye on him from a distance, another group or powerful individual has swooped in and hired him."

"Hydra?" Steve questioned, worried.

Fury paused. "Quite possibly."

At this, Tony opened his file and started reading, along with his teammates. Minutes later they stood in unison, nodding at the director.

As they left, Sam whistled. "Spiderman, huh? And here I thought he was one of the good ones."

Peter was late. Again.

It was the third time that week, which was pretty impressive considering it was Wednesday. Or maybe unimpressive, depending on how important you think school is.

Problem was, Peter liked school. Well except his bullies. And most his classmates. And his teachers. And most lessons. Scratch that, Peter liked the idea of school, but he was going to be late again, which meant his favourite pastime: detention.

Since he had made it to the opposite side of New York from Midtown, the prestigious school he had somehow got a scholarship for, Peter decided he could make an exception to his 'No Spider-Man Before School' rule. Again.

Pulling on his Spidey-suit, Peter fiddled with his web-shooters and headed off in the direction of his school. He'd hide in an alleyway a few blocks from the entrance, and make his way from there as Peter Parker, he decided.

However, as he turned the corner towards Midtown, he was met with a flying superhero in his path.

"Woah!" Peter made a sharp turn to avoid crashing into his idol, and landed on a nearby roof. There he was joined by three others: a man wearing a bright blue suit, a woman in a black jumpsuit and a man in armour, who had a metal arm.

"Son, we need you to come in with us. There's no need for violence."

"No need for- woah!" Peter narrowly dodged a bullet from the Black Widow.

"Oh well, we did try," Iron man added.

"No, you really, really didn't!" Peter was confused. For some reason the Avengers were after him, and he couldn't think of what he'd done. Unless...
