Toni's POV

"Cher" I said tapping her shoulder

"Oh hey tt" Cheryl said turning to face me "so wanna go to pops or the park?" Cheryl had asked me

"Hmm let's go to the park" I said holding out my hand for her to take and she took it we started running towards the park I had accidentally let go of Cheryl's hand but I made it to the park first

"Haha I made it here first" I said sticking my tongue out

"Oh shut it" Cheryl said walking towards the monkey bars and climbing on them, once she was half way to the other side her fingers started to slip

"AHH TONI HELP" Cheryl yelled I ran over to her just in time

"Are you ok cher?" I said putting her down gently

"Y-Yeah just a bit shaken up" Cheryl said

"Its ok I promise" I said holding out my pinky

"I-I think I'm gonna go home" Cheryl said getting up

"Ok then be safe Cheryl" I said walking towards my house

At school the next day

"Hey tt" veronica said coming up to me

"Hey v how was your day yesterday? " I asked pulling out her seat

"Oh um it was fine" veronica said sitting down

"That's good" I had said then the teacher had came in

I had noticed when veronica sat down she had made this facial expression it look like something had hurt her when she sat down, I was hoping reggie didn't do anything to her but if he did hes gonna get it bad well it dosen't matter if it was him or not if anyone hurts her there gonna get it idc who they are, as I was thinking about veronica she snapped her fingers in front of my face

"TT pay attention I'm not gonna do your work again" she said tapping her pencil on my paper

"Fine you meanie" I said sticking my tongue out at her, she rolled her eyes in response which made me giggle she started smiling to but when I was giggling I caught Cheryl's attention she looked like she was fine she had just looked at veronica then back at her paper

At lunch

"Hey cher" I said sitting down next to her and opening my milk container

"Hi tt" she said looking me in my eyes I dunno why but everytime she does that I get a funny feeling in my stomach, we kept eye contact until veronica came and sat next to me, I was in between them, cheryl had gave veronica a dirty look and v rolled her eyes then cheryl had grabbed my hand and started holding it I didn't think anything of it so I let her while i was holding chers hand i had looked back and was talking to jug then I felt something hit me not hard but it hit me so I looked back and i see veronica reaching over me and trying to hit cheryl I pulled veronica back by her shirt while cheryl was still holding my hand

"Wtf veronica why'd you try to hit cheryl she didn't do anything" I said having my back towards cheryl I was trying to block her off incase v tried to hit her again but cheryl wrapped her hands around my waist I didn't think anything if it so I let her

"Shes all over my fucking crush what do you want me to do just sit there? Fuck no" veronica said trying to hit cheryl again but cheryl just tightened her grip on my waist so I pushed veronica back gently

"Wait I'm your crush?" I asked shocked

"Obviously" she said in response but cheryl had whispered something in my ear

"TT I like you I wanna be with you please dont let her take you away from me I've always liked you it's just my family is really homophobic and I was trying to push those feelings to the side but I cant anymore" cheryl had whispered this in my ear and I just didn't know what to say I liked cheryl I always have it's just I like veronica to

"Who's it gonna be?" Veronica asked inpatient

"I dont know" I just didn't know what to say I didn't know who to choose

"Whatever" veronica said and walked over to Archie

"Do you actually like me cheryl?" I said turning to her

"Yes tt a lot" she said grabbing my hand "if you dont feel the same that's fine I just wanted to tell you" she said letting go of my hands and looking away I looked at veronica and she was all over archie

"Cheryl I like you too but schools gonna end in like 2 days so how about next year we get more close and see where it goes from there" I said grabbing her hand and moving her chin so she could look at me

"Um tt about that I'm not gonna be at this school anymore this is my last year here" cheryl said in a sad voice looking away from me I let a tear slip out

"Well are you ever gonna come back?" I said trying not to cry

"I dunno maybe" she said wiping the tear off my face

"Then we'll have to see in the future"
I said hugging her tight
