suddenly in a trance, your body was on autopilot. taking your hands from loid's slowly, they traveled to wrap around his wrists as his cupped your cheeks. nothing else around you mattered as the two of you leaned in.

there wasn't much space to cover, seeing as during your conversation, you two were already so close.

"are you sure?" loid whispered.

"please." you replied back, pleading. your lashes fluttered and your eyes began to close. this was a moment you'd both been subconsciously waiting for. with the rising tension between the both of you, this was practically inevitable.

there was no denying it any longer, and there was no point in stepping around it, because now the opportunity was yours to take.

you felt the skin of his lips skim yours. you arms wrapped around his neck.

so lost in each other you didn't hear the yells of yor and anya.

"PAPA! WE'RE- OH MY GOD!!"

the both of you and loid broke away so quick you thought you'd get whiplash. now that you were broken out of your daze, you became aware of your beating heart and fluttering stomach. the butterflies that were once rampant, seemed to calm down once you and loid gained distance.

yor came in after anya, only to see the aftermath.

"what's going on?" she tilted her head, confused on why everyone was so quiet.

"PAPA AND [NAME] WERE GONNA-"

you stood up abruptly, feeling dizzy from the amount of embarrassment you were going through. "HAHA!! wow look at the time! i must be on my way! i gotta uh.. w-walk my fish. BYE." ignoring your sweaty shaky hands, you quickly grabbed your things and bolted for the door.

[name] is a horrible liar. also, i didn't know you could walk fish!? anya stood aside thinking as she read your mind.

"[name] wait!" you turned at the sound of loid's urgent tone. "will i see you tomorrow?" he asked desperately. it was obvious he was nervous after what just transpired, the both of you were. everything would change after this.

everything.

maybe, as much as it hurt to think about, it was best to pretend it never happened. with yor and loid's fake relationship, how could you continue to pursue this knowing how others perceived them? you'd be seen as a whore to everyone, and it'd ruin this family's reputation too. you can both act as if it changed nothing.

"yeah!" you smiled before turning out the door. you were both horrible liars.

because this changed everything.
