Screaming rang as all of our caps flew to the sky. That's it. We're officially out of high school. Yes! Vista, I love you but I'm not sorry to say good bye. It's road trip time. I took a few pictures, my last one being with Jellie. I kissed my dad goodbye, and hugged Joelle. I am so thankful our relationship got better. I don't think it will ever be perfect but I never thought I'd miss my parents on this trip but I just might. I ruffled my little brother Jayden's hair, with him getting mad because I messed it up. Whatever.
"Bye, twerp."
He grinned! Twerp actually smiled... Huh today is a really good day.
"Bye, good luck."
"Okay, see ya soon."
"Yeah right, you're not coming back."
I smiled, he thinks he knows me. "Ehh, maybe. We'll see." I wink at him and go off to find Cokley, bastard made me PROMISE to say good bye before I left. Probably to chew me out about safety. He's like a freaking brother, boyfriend, and best friend all in one, even though he's only the latter.
I spot him with his jock friends. I think screw it, he won't miss me.
I start waking away when I hear, "Hey! Where do you think you're going?" I turn to find him in his suit, with that stupid smirk. Seriously, why do you have to be attractive, you ass.
I walked a little towards him, "You were with the athletes. I was gonna leave." I motioned my head towards Jells who was leaning on my truck, looking a bit annoyed. Always so freaking impatient.
"Andrea Cherish Alicia Barba, you were going to leave without saying good bye to the sexiest, most important man in your life?" I shuddered at his use of my full name, gross bro. But this assface really is cocky isn't he? Okay buddy, get ready for a bust in your little egotistical balls.
"Oh, I said good bye to Barkley." I said trying to keep a straight face but failed miserably. While he looks too amused at life at the reference of his old friend, and my frienemy, being sexy. Which he totally is not.
"Okay, now I know your lying, Dre." I sighed being relieved at him calling me the name I preferred and that he was totally right and I knew he meant himself, also being right.
I walk closer to him to where we are inches away I have to bend my head back to look up at him. I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him, then looked up at his slightly shocked face, no doubt at my public affection, not a trait I'm known for.
"Goodbye, Andrew Niyoms Cokley." I smirked, letting him know that was payback.
He hugged me a little, "Be safe."
I chuckle at his command, "I will."
"I meant it, Dre." He said, scrunching his eyebrows and half scowling at me. "I'll follow your ass."
This time I laughed. "No you won't."
"Hey I have training at the academy in New York for the navy, I'll find you, don't tempt me." Fuck! He did not just say that. Of course he did. It's fucking Cokley. Ehh, maybe having him there wouldn't be that bad. But I don't need him on my ass acting like a big brother and I know he will. I know the fear is in my eyes so I decide to make a smartass, sly comment.
"Oh, please do. I would love to have dick on delivery." He throws his head back and laughs.
"Of course you would. In your dreams."
I unwrap myself from him and wink "You know it, baby." He just stands there looking amused and I stand there actually admiring him. God, I was actually gonna miss him.
