Briefly explain life story:
Josephine had a rather normal life up until the accident. She grew up with an amazing mother who always cared for her. Josephine's father was never in the picture, but her mother stepped up to the plate and gave Josephine the best life that she should give. She taught Josephine her love for music, books, and more. Josephine learned the value of knowledge and always put her studies first, which came easily to her. Josephine's life changed on the day of the accident. Josephine's mother had fallen downstairs and had a huge head bleed, ultimately leading to her death. Josephine was completely distraught and had to learn how to live without her. At first, Josephine lived with her father for a couple of months as he felt the need to step up, but he quickly signed over custody to Josephine's maternal aunt as he realized he didn't want her and couldn't do good for her. Josephine was only 13 when this happened. Josephine's grandmother stepped up and did everything she could to help Josephine by getting her to see a therapist to help with the death process.
Josephine possesses a gift that she realized she had when she was only ten years old. When someone touches her, or she touches them, she can see their deepest darkest thoughts/desires/secrets. It's something she realized to be true over a long period. It was how she learned her father wanted nothing to do with her. Josephine was the one to suggest that she go to live with her grandmother.
Now, Josephine and her aunt are new to town. They moved because her aunt got a better job opportunity. She is a doctor at the same hospital Carlisle works in. When Josephine met the Cullens, it seemed they clicked right away. She immediately felt a connection with Jasper. The two would always be seen together.
It all changed when Jasper touched her; she almost could feel his want for her blood and her. She could feel his fight against his instincts. It was then the Cullens came clean about their secret. Josephine took a long time to come around to vampires, but eventually, she did, and that is when she and Jasper started dating. The two have been going strong ever since.
