Ghost king

Chapter 1: Before the beginning

Behind the name: Athena: Another strong girl's name after a Grecian goddess, Athena was the revered goddess of war and wisdom. Definitely a feisty girl's name! (The female lead) doesn't talk at all keeps to herself, bad past (she is not a god btw that just were the name came from)

Adrianus. Latin - Man from Hadria; Dark One; A variant form of Adrian male lead also know as the ghost king. We don't talk about him

School was boring but at least I'm at the back of the class near the window.(omg so quirky🤪) Last year I wasn't which was okay but not comfortable, the back seats had soft seats while the front had hard normal chairs. My body hurts less on the soft chairs. I had a lot of bruises on my back with cuts which hurts when they touched the chairs or anything really.While everyone ate in the cafeteria I stayed in the class room I wasn't  hunger so I put my head down to sleep.

A group of girls came into the classroom and talked while waiting for the professor to came back.
Girl1: did you remember the guy that transferred to a different school three years ago?
Girl2,3: yeah?
Girl1: He's coming back turns out he only left to take over his father's company but he wants to finish college before he dose.

All the girls kept talking I'm only a second year here in collage I live in an apartment near the school but it's in a bad area but it's cheep which is a plus. But this dude they kept talking about was all I heard my first year till after a month from coming back from vacation every one stopped talking about him. I only heard rumors but I forgot all of them, I wasn't even paying attention to them. I was about to fall asleep till the bell rang.  Shit we had a test today.
After the test
It was finally time to go home it was raining which was cool I was walking till I saw kids with their parents running and giggling to get back home from the poring rain. All I could do was stop and stare till they left. I looked up at the sky and closed my eyes just to let my tears fall. (Guess why she did that)
Minutes later I stopped because I felt something staring at me. Only for me to finally go home with out turning around I knew who it was it was the stray dog who waits there for me to bring it home to feed it. I would let it stay only during bad weather. I brought it to the vet to get all its shots and find a microchip when I first found it , there was no microchip and it was fixed when I found it which was great. At home I cooked some rice and chicken for the dog I didn't name it because I don't want to get attached to it. After the dog ate I towel dried it then took a shower myself. I only had what was left of the rice, brushed my teeth grabbed the dog bed from a drawer with a blanket once I put the bed down the dog lays down on it and waited for me to tuck it in which I did. I climbed in bed to only stare at the ceiling. I have insomnia I can't get medicine for it or any of my wounds that I had on my body, I couldn't afford them I could barely go grocery shopping for my self. I looked at the clock just to see that two hours have past. Then I realized I had to use the bathroom, crap I didn't want to get out of bed. I went to the bathroom only to think I'm not going to sleep anyways might as well get ahead of the class. I sat at my desk that was in my room and put my glasses in so I could read .only to start but in a blink in an eye the rain stopped only for the sun to rise. When I looked down in the paper it was finished, good guess I was to into the work to remember anything. I felt I cold wet nose on my leg letting me know it was time to eat I took out a small yogurt dog kibble and peanut butter for the dog and heat up left over rice for me. That was all I had in the entire apartment
"Guess I have to go grocery shopping today"
I'll do it when I get out of work I was about to go to school after I was got ready till I remembered I had a doctors appointment tomorrow and the dog needs to go to the vet for it's checkup for annually shots.
