The public wanted to know what the three year old would be doing. Olivia had the attention of the public after being in the movie Superman. And when it was released she would be in the new muppets movie a lot more people wanted to know who she was as they didn't know how a three year old actor could get her way into the spot light without that many years of practice. It only took a lot of auditions to get her as far as she got.
The muppets movie show two siblings Kermit the Frog and Harley the frog. Olivia plays the role of Harley and even if she's only three years old she still managed to voice the role of Harley. She was running around the set constantly so people followed her around with microphones and filmed whatever the child did. And that's how they got the lines for Harley.
The world was surprised when they saw that a two year old was in an animated film. As a kid you are very hyper and will always be running around and braking things. In this case Olivia was that without the braking side of the kid role.
