Vincent + Ronan

Ronan's hands fell to my sides as he moaned into my ear, arching into my touch. "Is this how we spend a day off?" He moaned, "Getting handsy?"

I allowed myself to chuckle, dragging my fingers up and down his spine with one hand, caressing his cheek with the other. "Not used to it? I seem to remember differently," I teased.
We both know this is tame compared to what we used to get up to. Young adults with too much time on their hands tend to be very, very creative. The world where the only things watching them were the crashing waves and the setting sun shimmering off of them is now gone. It was swiftly replaced by the entire world's eyes on them, hunting them, needing to be the first to catch them, dead or alive.

As my hand shifted around to his chest and briefly grazed his nipple, Ronan shivered, his head tilting to the side ever so slightly. "Usually I wouldn't stop us, but this isn't the safest place," he reasoned, his voice an enticing hush.
I looked up into his eyes that seemed so bright even in the dark, and I agreed he was right. The only thing stopping us from falling three stories below were my legs staying locked in between the railing.

I blew out a cool breath, making Ronan recoil against the sudden chill against his nose. Seeing his face flash from desire to annoyance drew a laugh out of me, and I motioned for him to get out of my lap and go back in through the window.
Once we were both safely inside, Ronan grabbed me by my collar, pulling me in close. "You seriously think this is the time to be fucking around?" He tried his best to look serious, but that familiar quirk of his lips and mischievous glint in his eyes gave him away.

I had to bite back a laugh, I looked away to avoid rolling my eyes. "I hardly did anything wrong. Who tempted who first?" I huffed, grabbing his wrist and snatching it away. Of course, there was no menace behind it, but it always annoyed me when he got the best of me. Then again, not all too much seeing as I want to give him my best, and then some more.

This time, Ronan didn't bother looking away and rolled his eyes at me. Then, he lowered himself to the ground, picking up items we had laid out and stuffing them back into the bag. "Yeah, yeah. I'll make it up to you later if we make it out of this alive. How's that sound?" He asked.

When he looked back up at me, I gave him a smile before scrolling through my phone, trying to find our next escape route. To tell the truth, there weren't many places we could go. Either the fighters had the area on a complete lockdown, or they had been there already. "We can't keep doing this forever, you know this right?" I pulled Ronan up from the ground as he slung one bag across his shoulder, and handed the other off to me.

Ronan raised an eyebrow at my statement, nearly backing away from me. I swore to him that I wouldn't let him do this alone, and even though I knew it didn't drive away the idea of me leaving or doing something worse, it was still a punch to the gut. "What are you talking about, Vin?"

I turned from him to stare at the window, looking down at the drop I had been tempted to let us drop from moments ago. "I mean, we're running out of places to go. What will we do then?"

Ronan joined me at the window, the fire burning bright in his eyes. It hardly ever left, just dimmed out in favor of something more suiting to the moment. However, I saw it dissipate once, and I promised to never be the cause of it ever again. "Vinnie, I will die before I go back to them," he protested. "You promised we'd—"

"And we will. We'll run and keep running, okay?" I turned his face toward mine, and I met his gaze. Although he hadn't said a word, his eyes spoke a million. The precious, unnatural red suites him in ways I can't even explain.

I swung a leg out the window once more, and I took a look at the drop below. Three stories is doable, but the chances of us both walking away perfectly unharmed are very slim.
As I hopped out the window completely, my hands latched onto the windowsill, stopping my fall. I spared a second to glance up at Ronan, my mind needing the reassurance that something hadn't happened to him in the last moment. He stared back at me, a determination in his eyes as always, his mouth set in a firm line.
