Part 1:
Detective Ricos paced the interrogation room as the three teenagers followed him with their eyes. He turned to look at the three as his eyes landed on the strawberry blonde sitting between the two boys. She tapped her fingers against the metal, nervously as she made eye contact with the older man in front of her. Rybion was covered in cuts and bruises. Her right leg was bandaged and stitched from their night at the asylum. The poor girl looked exhausted. All three of them did. "So little miss Rybion Wolfee,it looks like you're up first. Please enlighten me. What happened at the St.Lynn Asylum the nights you were there?" he stared at the blue-eyed girl.
Rybion stared up at him sitting up straight in her chair," Detective, that place is a nightmare. How many times do I need to repeat that part of my statement? Do you see what I look like? Do you see what that place did to me? One half of the Danver twins were nearly killed in that place. Sir, that place is full of nothing but nightmares and pain. Pain inflicted by the doctor who ran the place." He stared at the teenage girl who looked truly scared as she sat there talking to him. He shook his head slowly as she spoke to him.
"That story of yours is just hard to believe Rybion. The events of the night do not sound plausible. First of all, the five of you broke into the Asylum. The place has a gate surrounding it for a reason with a padlock. It turned into trespassing. Now I will lead into my second point, it's abandoned with good reason. St. Lynn Asylum is dangerous for someone who knows the place, but more dangerous for kids who don't.The entire place is falling apart. I'm surprised it didn't cave in on you guys. Which leads me to my third point, there was nothing there. It makes you sound crazy. Guys, your story is all over the place. I think you guys are just trying to get out of trouble." he said to Rybion. She stared at her hands as they laid flat on the table and suddenly she felt like she was seven all over again. Koby rose from his chair as he saw the look on his cousin's face.
"Please don't start calling her crazy, because she isn't. Detective, do you realize how unlikely it is for five teenagers to have the same hallucination. And let's add a delusion that we happened to catch on tape" Koby expressed in his cousin's defense. Rybion reached up and grabbed the back of her cousin's shirt, tugging him back down into the chair next to her. Koby always had a way of jumping to his cousin's defense. They were raised like siblings and he protected her like the brother she always needed.
" Ricos, someone else was there. I swear it. There were more than just the five of us in the building. We heard them over the walkies." Neo explained, running his fingers through his messy hair. The detective looked between all three teenagers one more time as he released a sigh. It was a sigh full of nothing but disbelief.
" Can you give us a little bit of trust? We are not just trying to spin a story to get out of trouble. You have to believe us. We're not crazy, Detective. I mean, we have footage to prove it. I have the stitches to prove it, or do you need to see those again?" Rybion threw anger into her voice. This disbelief was pissing her off. She could feel it bubbling in her chest. Ricos looked to the left as a uniform officer wheeled in a laptop placing it on the table in front of the detective. Rybion pressed the small opening on the side of the go pro as her fingers pulled the small SD card out.
" I never said you kids were crazy. I'll watch the footage. But I will say I am not expecting to see anything, but scared children. "he tried to explain easing the girl's pain. Her eyes studied the screen as he hit play. The raw footage from that night. The night that none of that group will ever forget. They have the scars as reminders from that night.
That weekend:
St. Lynn Asylum.
Rybion opened the trunk to the silver jeep as staring at the seven-story building, as she shivered as the wind cut through her black windbreaker. "Koby, I don't think we should be here. The energy doesn't feel right. It feels off. I don't like the way this place feels." she explained, taking the camera bag from her cousin as he smirked.
