He could not remember the wonder and curiosity that shone in his eyes, while he was tucked underneath the soft, cotton sheets, listening to tales filled with imagination and words blooming of life.

He could remember so many things, but the ones he treasured most were forgotten.

With a Strelitzia between his fingers, his gaze rested on the harsh, iron shackles bound around his wrists, with a shine ever so pierce like the stars in the sky.

A glimmer of white shoots through the deep, ultramarine curtain of night. A seed of hope struck his heart which longed to break free with just one word.
