Chapter I

Reader's POV

One morning, I woke up realising that I was really hungry. "Wow! I'm starving" i thought to myself. i went out of bed and went into the kitchen. i looked around for something to eat, but unfortunately there's no more food left for me to eat this morning. So, to quench my hunger, i went out and walked towards the market. i lived alone in a simple small house, not too rich, yet not to poor. just enough to keep myself alive.

it didn't took long for me to reach the market. then, i started to greet everyone i know. many people like the way i acted towards them. i then entered the bakery. as i opened the door, the smell of butter greeted me. it was so delightful. "Good morning Mrs. Kenny" i greeted the woman standing behind a shelve of bread.

"(Y/N)! it's you! Good morning, what can i give you today?" she answered with a smile on her face. "I would like an apple pie and three loafs of bread to keep at home please"

"Here you go!" Mrs. Kenny answered as she put an apple pie and three loafs of bread in a paper bag and handed it over to me.

"Thanks!" i said after i paid them.

i went out of the bakery and smelled the fresh air. i straightened up my dress a little bit and started walking home. after i took a few steps, someone bumped into me and made me dropped my paper bag filled with my breakfast. i looked up to see who bumped into me. i saw a blonde boy about my age with icy blue eyes starting to stand up.

"I'm sorry miss... i wasn't paying attention on where i was walking" he said as he pulled out his hand in front of me.

i gently took his hand and stood up, "It's okay. i was also not paying attention either"

He took a closer look of me and soon his blue eyes grew bigger.

"Claude! i want her! i want her!" he shouted to a tall man behind him who appeared as his butler.

he bowed his head and said, "I'm sorry milady. i believe my master had taken an interest toward you. now, he wants you to work for him back in the Trancy manor."

"Who are you guys anyways?" i asked

"Sorry for the late introduction. I'm Earl Alois Trancy. and this is my butler, Claude Faustus." the blond boy, Alois said, "So, regarding the work offer are you going to accept it?"

"Well, i guess i might just give it a try..." i said.

Alois then jumped and cheered happily. i then followed Claude and Alois towards the carriage and began my new journey!
