The black liquid drips down my face, mixing with a beige-brown colour with hints of pink. I stop walking to take the hem of my dress to wipe my face, staining the lilac black. I rip off my heals and begin walking again. How am I gonna get home? I eventually arrive at a run down restaurant. I walk in, clean myself up and go to the bathroom. As I walk back out I realise how cold I am a shiver. I can just make out a face in the dark eyeing me carefully. When he realises I can see him he says, "You okay darlin'? Lookin' a bit shaken up, ain't ya?" He spoke with a southern accent, with a smile to top it off, and I returned it, walking over to him.
There were no streetlights and the lights in the restaurant were dim. He was tall, and looked older than me. "Cmon tell me what's wrong, I won't bite." Something in his voice was soothing, but the another part sounded toxic. I didn't think anything of it and proceeded to tell him. "I uhm... I saw my boyfriend kissing my best friend, and when I confronted him he yelled in my face and said I was ugly, he never loved me and he was only using me so his friends would be jealous." I began to cry again but continued talking, "He drove me to homecoming and now I'm lost and I can't get home and I just don't know what to do!" I started sobbing at that moment and he drew me into a hug. I hugged him back for comfort. I only then noticed that his trunk was open and he grabbed something out of it. Adrenaline shoots through me and I'm about to run when I feel a sharp pain in my neck. "It's okay." His voice says, though it's blurred as my mind in racing. Then it goes black.
