Trigger Warning
Part 1 of this story contains homophobia and transphobia. If you cannot handle those topics please do not read this part.
"Charlotte Growss?"
"Here miss."
"Indi Harris?"
Indi was radio silent. She was busy scribbling something down on a piece of paper, presumably a drawing. Indi drew a lot, it was something she was known for, other than being the gay girl. "Indi?? Are you not paying attention again?? Jesus christ Indi, you have to pay attention sometimes!!" The teacher scolded, Indi not learning as she had been through this process countless times. She looked around the room as she does normally to see people's reactions, and sure enough, Sienna and Cora were laughing at her. This cycle repeats every day. Sienna and Cora don't even fit together all that well, they are completely different people, Sienna was just desperate for friends and took Cora under her wing. Cora didn't know any better. Indi thought she seemed really nice but she is friends with the biggest homophobe in the school. Constantly shaming her, telling her she should try dating a man, Indi thought it was all just bigotry bullshit.
Indi pulled out her phone.
Straight Boys Group Chat 🥶😈

indi it'll be fine, we're getting different classes in 2 weeks for next termIndi
yeah you're rightIndi shut her phone off. She wasn't supposed to be on it in class, but who was the teacher to stop her? She assumed if the school were to take her phone she would just patiently wait until they gave it back, she could be without her phone, right? Or bribery was also an option. She didn't have a lot of money, but she always had the right amount at the right time. Somehow. She didn't know how either. *buzzt buzzt buzzt* Her phone buzzed three times. New message from jacky wacky it read. "eugh, jack don't message me now." she said to herself. She talked to herself a lot, especially in class when she wasn't doing what she was supposed to. it was like her tell, saying to everyone "i'm talking to myself, so i'm obviously doing the wrong thing." most of her teachers had picked up on this by now. this teacher however? she hadn't, and never knew when anyone was off-task, making her class a student's dream.
Indi looked over to Sienna and Cora. Sienna seemed to be playing a game, she was pressing buttons and was very invested in her screen, and Cora was just... stared at her. Cora was pretty, she had long black hair and brown eyes you could get lost in.. Indi found herself staring at her, something she regretted when Cora stared right back at her, putting her eyes on full display for Indi. Cora also wore glasses sometimes, they were round and thin, and Indi's type was actually girls with glasses. As well as girls with short hair, but she could give Cora a pass for that one. Indi snapped out of it, shaking her head and pretending to write something on her paper. Indi, for god sakes, you can't fall in love with every girl who's nice to you. Since she's friends with Sienna she's probably straight and homophobic. it's that simple. She thought to herself, packing up her things as class had now ended.
