"Ness wake up! It's 7:30 already!"

Ugh this jet lag is really getting to me! Hopefully I won't look to much like the walking dead on the first day of my new school and you could say the start of my new life. I moved to America from Britain to live with my aunt after my mum died last month. I didn't necessarily want to move here but I didn't really have a choice in the matter. Oh well I might as well get on with it.

"NESS! Are you awake!"

"Yes aunt I am now PLEASE stop shouting it's to early in the morning my ears can't take it"  I mumbled back to my grouchy aunt Becca who was downstairs cooking by the smell of it.

Mmmm bacon..... That's all I need to get me out of bed and start to get ready for school. I went into my wardrobe to pick out my outfit for the day. I have to look at least half decent on my first day. My wardrobe mainly consisted of t-shirts with pictures of werewolves on them as I am absolutely obsessed with them! Not the kind that look like plucked chickens but the ones that actually look like wolves...except much larger than normal grey wolves. I know everything there is to know about them. That's one of the reasons why I'm looking forward to starting my new school because back in my old school I was bullied mercilessly for liking them. I don't know how they found out that I liked them but somehow they did and they used that as a weapon in their silly game!

Oh well nobody knows about my obsession here so hopefully I will just blend into the crowd. Obviously I'm going to stick out like a sore thumb for the first couple of days but as the novelty wears off I should be fine.

After I had picked out my outfit which was a pair of ripped denim shorts and a black t-shirt with a picture of a wolf on it I went for a quick shower and pulled my hair up into a knot bun on the top of my head. Now I'm not one for wearing make-up but I put on bit of mascara and lip gloss. I picked up my one-shouldered bag -which didn't really have anything in it apart from my notebook and pencil case- and my black converse then ran downstairs only to run straight into my aunt who was just about to come upstairs looking for me.

"Breakfast is on the table. Sorry I won't be able to eat with you I just got an emergency call from the surgery and have to go there immediately. You know your way to school anyway so you should be fine."

She kissed my forehead and said goodbye after wishing me good luck at school then rushed out of the door grabbing her car keys off the table. My aunt is the local veterinarian and is known worldwide for her services. Therefore she owns one of the biggest estates around and has amazing taste in decor.

After I had eaten my breakfast which was bacon, scrambled eggs and toast I did a once over in the floor length mirror then grabbed my car and house keys then left for the school day.

My car is black Mini Cooper convertable and it is my pride and joy. I love this car more than anything. It has a black leather interior and state of the art radio system.

I plugged in my iPod and started the car then drove to school.

                                                                                     ***

When I pulled into the car park every pair of eyes where on me. No pressure at all. As I step out of the car I trip over my own foot and fall face first and trip another girl up at the same time. At the present moment in time I am contemplating not getting up and letting the ground swallow me. Kill. Me. Now. Arghhhhh why me! Way to go Ness not even made it out of the car park and I'm already the schools laughing stock.

"Ohmygoodness are you OK? I'm so so sorry!" the girl who I just tripped up gushes

"No, no I'm fine! I should be the one apologising I just tripped you up in front of the whole school!"
