The tall dark walls loomed over the crowd of teens, casting a dark shadow as it blocked out the sun.

Some shook in fear and anxiety, while others stood their feet firmly on the ground.

No one can blame those who shook though. It's a life or death situation since...

"Right! Let's start!" A loud voice filled the air, "move your bums! There are not countdowns in real battles! Go go GO!!!"

Today was the UA Entrance Exams.

In an instant, the masses were running through the tall gates in a rush to look for and destroy faux villains.

Some examinees ran to seperate directions from everyone else, some stayed with the pack to fight for the easiest kills.

But even with how spread out the examinees are, a specific one was very isolated from the crowd.

He walked in a slow pace, the crunch of his steps on the asphalt the only sound with how quiet it is.

His steps come to a halt.

Before they suddenly start again, gradually getting faster until the boy is sprinting, his hot-pink hair blown back by the wind.

He ran to an unsuspecting two-pointer robot, who only got a few seconds to register him.

He clenches his fingers into a fist, rears his arm back.

And with a swing of his fist.

A loud crash filled the air as the robot exploded into hundreds of pieces.

Damn these are weaker than I thought...

In a display of cat-like reflexes, the boy spins around and using his hand spread open, throws a blast of energy at the three-pointer attempting to sneak up on him.

The blast is strong enough to blow the robot into bits and pieces, metal scattering all over the air.

Guess this is the perfect time to introduce myself...

Bits of metal fall all around the boy, clinking with every piece.

My name is Kusuo Saiki.

I'm not what most of you may expect.

In a dark room illuminated only by dozens of monitors, sat the judges of the exam. They each and every examinees carefully, observing for any prodigees.

"This year's group looks pretty promising." A voice said.

"There are a few... unusual examinees." A green haired boy ran around, frantically looking for villains, while another boy stared at the camera while blasting a two-pointer. "...But I do agree."

"Check that out, that kid's a beast!"

The said 'kid' was a boy who ran around with an intent to murder, aggressively blowing up robots left and right with a flashy explosion quirk as explosive as his ash-blond hair.

"And on the other side of the spectrum..."

There was another boy, destroying robots with seemingly light punches, occasionally with a blast of energy. But in contrast to the other kid, he only walks with seemingly no sense of urgency at all, not a single strand of his hot-pink hair out of place.
