"Happy birthday to you , happy birthday to youuuu" Kareem said
Waking up not even realizing it was my birthday even though I waited forever for this day.
I gently sit up rubbing my eyes getting blinded by the beam of sunlight coming into our bedroom seeing roses & a bunch of gifts laid out in the bed for me .
"Thank you love" I said smelling the roses , I'm not a fan of roses he only buys them for me when he feel guilty for doing something wrong .
"What's ya plans for today?"
"I got a brunch date with meerah in like a hour that's all I got in mind forreal" I said walking in the bathroom
"Don't make no plans for tomorrow I got a surprise for you ryah" as he finished that sentence I just stared at him blatantly cause the nigga is a damn lie but maybe he'll actually keep his word
"Alrighty man" I jumped in the shower for a good 30mins I got out and handled my hygiene
I walked in my room staring at the bed wondering what could the nigga have possibly done to get me roses or is it just a change of act and he's actually being nice?
I snap out of it and throw on my white boob cuffed dress and my Tory Burch sandals and head to my car
Pulling up to the brunch café I see meerah with outside tables she knows me so well I hate eating in doors.
"Ahhhhh it's my bitch birthdayyyyy , gimmie a 360" she yelled recording me as I was walking up to the table
" Bitch I missed you how you been?" I said to meerah she's been ot for a while since she got her lil new nigga who nobody met yet , not even her momma .
"Girl I been good , new nigga doin me reallllll good , here I ordered you a mimosa we goin bottomless"
"You know me tooooo well" I said laughing
We ended up staying at the brunch longer than we both expected we had a lot of catching up to do after a while of not being near each other and barely talking .
But we had plans on dinner around 7 so we headed back to my place to get changed so we can head out .
"Damnnnnnn girl how you affording this nice ass apartment" meerah said standing in the doorway
"Girl I don't pay a damn bill that's all kareem"
"You still with that ain't shit nigga?"
"We all gotta learn to walk away some way" I said cleaning off the bed
"Yeah you right I got not one piece of space to talk aft-"
"Oh bitch I know you ain't gotta say shit the way you be postin abt what that man be doing!!!" I said cutting her off with the quickness it's one thing about me and meerah friendship we keep shit real blunt .
She looked at me and laughed , I got up and threw her a outfit and slipped on my black skin tight dress when my phone went off . It was a text from Kareem saying he's going outta town for a couple hours .
That's cool and all but this his first time texting me back all day , I didn't even wanna respond.
"Ryah you ready ? We gotta take some shots before we go out" meerah yelled from the kitchen I wanna know how tf she found my stash
" yeah here I come!"
"And bitch you better take all 4 shots"
" Bitch are you crazy brown and clear?" I said giggling
