The dirt scuffed under me as I walked, the wind howled around me as my cloak blew against me, flowing behind me. I kept my nail in it's sheath on my hip. I wasn't sure if I'd need it where I was going, but I was not going to leave it behind and risk not having it. The Hollownest had broken. My brothers and sisters cast aside like broken dolls. The Pale King only spared me because I was special and not even his own child. I couldn't stay there, even for my mothers. So I kept walking, kept my eyes straight and narrowed them against the blasting, cold wind. Howling Cliffs was a difficult area to get through but I'd been told it wasn't impossible. I couldn't believe I'd finally mustered up the courage to leave my home. I hadn't even been properly trained really...I just knew some fancy Nail artistry. I had no real training. Not like The Hollow Knight himself. The King had at one point considered using me instead of The Hollow Knight because my vessel is made of a strong steel. But my mother would not have it. She told him that if he got to keep his daughter that she could keep me. Yet, here I was, leaving.
