I was home at the apartment I couldn't go to class till they put Duke in jail and comes to find out this wasn't his first time doing this so he was going to jail and I hope it's a jail far away because my dad got people on the inside and they gonna kill for comet butterfly.
I heard a knock on the door mya was at class so who was that?
"I got a gun!" I yelled
The door opened to my dad. I smiled and sat back down.
"Hey princess" he said to me
"Hi dad" I said with a fake ass smile on my face.
"How you doing?" He asked me
"I'm fine how did you get in?" I asked him
"Mya let me borrow her key" he said
"Don't make a copy because we walk around here naked" I said
"I didn't little girl how you holding up?" He asked me
I nodded my head my dad sat on the bed and something told me to move the corner of my bed far away from him.
My dad looked at me with so much hurt in his eyes I think I actually saw fear in my dad eyes and it was because of me.
"Keilaya?" He said
He then reached for my hand I jumped off my bed and stood against the wall.
"Keilaya I'm not going to hurt you baby girl" he said his voice shaken a bit.
I smiled and nodded my head "I know but I don't want to be next to people" I said smiling
"Aw Keilaya my poor poor baby" he said
"Yes I know poor ole Keilaya she fragile now yeah I'm traumatized daddy" I barked to him
I was hoping out of all my crazy ass family I was going to be the normal one but now I'm the traumatized one who almost got assaulted. I can't even stand to be next to people let alone eat or sleep.
"Keilaya you need to talk to someone baby girl I don't know maybe your aunt Storm or someone" my dad said
"I'm not crazy" I said to him
"I know your not but your not my same little girl anymore" he said
"And I never will the old Keilaya is dead now" I said to him
I walked to the door and opened it more.
"I want to be alone daddy" I said
~Ermias pov~
I got home from practice and I walked past Gio room and he had flowers on his bed and he look dressed up.
"Wassup man?" I greeted him
"Hey Ermias I was just about to head to the girl's apartment to check on Keilaya" he said
"That's nice but my dad there and he told me she is reck it's not the same girl we all know and love" I said I can't say that I haven't seen her yet but it's been like a week and Mya said Keilaya doesn't come out the room at all.
"I'm always gonna love her and you should too she changed because of Duke ass what he did to her" Gio said
"Yeah that nigga fucked up big time" I said
"He did but I need to take some blame too because I'm sure if I didn't break up with her she would of never been drinking and never would of danced with him and had to get away from him it wouldn't have happen" Gio said
"Duke was out to get her I don't know how you missed that I confronted him on it, amir did, Zay did too but you couldn't change anything Duke would of saw an opportunity at anytime and would of tried that shit" I told Gio
"You think so?" Gio asked
"Yeah definitely when a man is crazy like that he'll do anything, don't tell anyone but that happened to sage she was assaulted and that's why we care for her so much and why she dated girl until Keilaya introduced bull and her together" I told him
"Damn not sage I ain't know" he said
"She was like 10 at the time when it happened she eventually got over it I mean she still remembers and stuff but she grew just like Keilaya will. Just give her a day or two too cool off and then go see her she's not gonna be over it but she'll be more herself for the most part" I said
"You sure?" Gio asked
"I mean you can go see for yourself and tell me what you think" I said
Gio sat down and took a deep breath and ran his fingers threw his hair.
"Relax man she's a butterfly we are touch as rock" I said
I walked away that was the most civil conversation we ever had that boy really love my sister I should be nicer to him all this time I've been an asshole to him and he was just loving my sister.
I got to my room and put my stuff down and plopped down on my bed and I got a text from mya.
They were going to try to have a girls night with Keilaya but Keilaya ain't gonna wanna be around nobody right now.
I sat there thinking maybe I do need to be overprotective like how I was when we was in high school. This would of never happened I ain't listening to my dad and Keilaya no more. I'm on her ass like white on rice my poor baby sister I know she wasn't going to be the same she might be strong but that girl has a breaking point. She needed to be appreciated again.
Few hours passed and there was a knock on my door."come in" I said
My dad walked in and he had an ice pack on his eye.
"What happened?" I asked him
"Your sister punched me in the eye" he said
"What why?" I asked him
"I got too close and it was a reflex to her it was an accident" he said
She was gone.
