The Basement

Chapter Three

                                                                               -Chapter three-

My alarm clock went off at six o'clock, with a random song from playlist. Clumsily I turned it off or I should say pushed it to the ground. I got outta bed, eyes still closed and went to the bathroom.I took a shower, which woke me up, I went back to my room in my P.J.'s, to find out what happen last night wasn't a dream! And it was Saturday! Well I was up, so, that's how I would stay. Alucard was waiting for me in the chair. I thought we should break the ice and become friends! "Um... has your name always been Alucard?" He looked at me and politely replied, "No, centuries ago I was a count. You may have heard of me, Dracula?" I wasn't scared no, that's not it. Curious, intrigued at his story. Then, he asked me a question, "When is your birthday, master?" This is surprising, I replied, "November 6, 2002, I'm 15."Out of plain curiosity I asked his birthday. April 13, 1550, 466 years old, I did the math! He's old. Hhmmmmmmm... I looked down at the clock, it said 6:47. "Shit! We have to hide you! My mom will be here at seven to wake me up for breakfast!" I exclaimed, panic stricken. I may be adopted but, there are rules and have a Sleepover without permission especially with a man who looks like he's in his 20's! Breaking out is another is another but, less severe. Looking around frantically I spied my closet. I got off my bed, picked out some clothes, then said, "Alucard get into the closet, my mother doesn't often go in there, i think it scares her." He gave me a strange look but went in anyway. I shut the door behind him, then got dressed. I put on a pair of black shorts and a Harley Davidson tank-top. By the time all of this was finished it was seven o'clock. There was a knock on my door, I called, "It's open, I'm dressed, mom!" She replied, "Alright, we're going out to breakfast."

"Cool," I muttered, then thought, "What's the occasion?" I said good-bye to Alucard. Then went downstairs. My mom was smiling, and I was confused. The she said, "Happy birthday, sweetie." Then she slid me a small black box. I opened it to find a phone! It was an iPhone 5 S. "Thanks!" I exclaimed turning it on . Flipping through the pre-loaded apps, I found Facebook, snap chat, twitter and Instagram! I looked up to see my mother nodding. I was excited, first I went to setting up a password, wallpaper, lock screen, phone name, and various other things. I went to contacts, to find my mom and dad's numbers. Then, I asked my mom if I could go visit some friends after breakfast, she said it was alright. So, I went upstairs to get my shoes on. Then we went to Sally's Diner for breakfast!

When I got home, I got my helmet and checked on Alucard, sleeping. I left around nine to the lake at the park. We were supposed to meet there at ten. It takes me half an hour to get there, then fifteen minutes to ride to the lake. When I got to see that my friends Jazzy, Aria, and Steven were already there. So, we were waiting for, Marissa and Rachel. They all wished me a happy birthday (Octopus couldn't come). Then, I told them all about my new phone! I got all of their numbers and they got mine. Then the other two showed up and the same happened. Then they all said they'd could go to my party later. After about an hour of chatting we all went home and agreed to meet up at my house again for a party and sleepover at 5:30. The ride home was a quiet one. When I got home I found it decorated and lunch waiting for me and my mom was asleep on the couch. And that Dad was home from his business trip, early, and was eating a sandwich. We ate in silence. Then he wished me a happy birthday and, gave me tickets to a concert! There were enough for Four people! I gave him a hug and thanked him.

-A few hours later!-

At five I ordered a couple of pizzas, for the party. My friends got there, the pizza came soon after. We went into the movie room with the pizza and put in a zombie movie , we ate, watched, laughed, and talked. Then I remembered Alucard. I left to go get him, under the pretense that I had to use the bathroom. I went to my room and he was in the closet, still. I woke him up and took him to were the other were, without incident. With a sigh of relief I brought Alucard to meet my friends. That may have been a mistake, a big one. The was at a part where there was a lot of bleeding. Alucard's eyes were locked onto the screen, pulsing with hunger, and that can'y be good, there were six beating hearts in the room. I'm a dummy! "Alucard, listen to me! Look at me, Alucard!" he looked at me with a terrible strain. Luckily someone paused and turned off the T.V. as this happened, I spoke again firmly as possible, though I was terrified for everyone lives, ¨Go, go and get a bite to drink. Please, go and don't come back here until you do. Go through the window, come back the same way. Be careful!¨ I don't know why I said that last bit. He left and I was left with the explaining. Since they saw most of it, I started from the very beginning. They were all shocked, and surprised. We finished the movie and went outside to the cold night air and we made s'mores to settle down.

While we were eating our third round of s'mores and singing- for the forth time- Radioactive, Alucard came back. He approached the fire, he had a little bit of blood on the corner of his mouth. I saw him first, and stood to greet him and wipe the ruminates of his meal off his face. The others around the fire were wary of him, both of us could sense it. I tried to reassure them that Alucard wasn't going to hurt them, they seemed not to be convinced.

"Okay, I think that's enough excitement for one night. Let's head up to bed shall we?" I said, exhausted. Jazzy, Aria, Marissa, Rachel, and Steven all nodded, I looked at Alucard and he whispered gently, "I'll meet you there." Then, stalked off into the darkness. The rest of us went inside to my room. To find Alucard sitting in my chair in a corner. All of the girls stuff was in my room, Steven was going home or sleeping in the living room, on the couch. "Honey! Steven's going to have to sleep on the couch tonight! His parents are stuck at the airport!" mom yelled from the bottom of the stairs. Steven looked scared. "It's alright he's not going to hurt you or anyone else in this house," I told him sternly. Then I addressed everyone else, ¨Now, let's get ready for bed! It's almost midnight, I'll make the couch up for Steven.¨ I went downstairs, Jazzy to the bathroom, Aria to another, Rachel to the closet, Marissa in my room and Alucard to the roof. Steven, he went to the living room after going to the bathroom after, Jasmine. I left Steven in the living room. Then locked the front door, went back upstairs to find my friends sitting in places they made for themselves. I went into the closet to get on my P.J.'s. As I came out: Alucard with his eyes closed and upside down, asked if it was okay to come back inside. The neighbors were looking like they were going to call the police. I laughed and told him to come in. He sat in the chair and began to read a book. I couldn't read the title. We talked for awhile, then turned out the light. Alucard watched over all of us, while we slept. ¨Good night everybody¨ I yawned. Then went to sleep.
