(Short first chapter, it's 12:30 and I'm tired and have school tomorrow)
It happened so quickly. The Rebel Gems chased off the Homeworld Gems, and it was thought to be the end of it. Hours later, I hear my Wife scream, and when I run up out of my basement, she was gone, with nothing but dust to replace her. I had no idea what was happening. When I looked down at the dust, I saw a Purple Glowing Stone. I assumed that this Gem might have had something to do with this, so I waited for it to reform to question it, but it never did.
"Jenny? Babe?" Y/N called out, looking around his home, which was seemingly decaying around him.
"Jenny!?" Y/N shouted, scared as to what has happened to her.
Y/N looked down at what he thought was the Gem that took her away, so he grabbed the nearest hammer, and tried to shatter it. Once the metal made contact with the stone, he was sent back a few miles. A wave of power lifted from the Gem, and hit Y/N. He began to feel weird, but also saw that his skin was turning a different color, a F/C color. At first glance, people would think he had caught a virus, but something was whispering into his ear that he was becoming something like a new type of Gem, that had unlimited strength and power. He quickly got everything he needed together. He had technology that wouldn't be discovered for at least another 5,000 years. He was able to make pictures and other great things. Getting his pictures, journals, his camera, equipment, tools, clothes and food, he went on his way to try and find someone to help, whist mourning the loss of his wife. Before he left, he picked up the Gem, looked at it, and placed it in his pocket. Not even a second later, the Gem burnt through his pocket. He wondered why he was able to hold it if it could burn right through his clothes, but he quickly stopped thinking. Not knowing what to do with the Gem, he put together a necklace made out of a very unbreakable metal known as Vibranium, hoping that it would be capable of holding the power, which it was. And so began his journey. He passed village after village, and was met with nothing but corrupted Gem Monsters. That was until he came across something very strange.
"Hmm, a giant humanoid creature. I'll just call it a Titan, make it easy. Not that hostile towards humans apparently." Y/N wrote, approaching the now name Titan.
The Titan instantly looked at Y/N, and chased after him. Y/N took off the opposite direction, much more faster than the Titan.
"Scratch that. Very hostile towards humans. Might try and eat. More testing required." Y/N corrected.
12 days went by, and Y/N stumbled upon an abandoned Kindergarten. He looked around, and saw that it was both Titan and Gem Monster free, which was perfect. Y/N set up camp, and began his daily log.
"#Log 455Y/N's Log 455. It has been 12 days since the high Gem Authorities sent out their final attack to wipe the Rebel Gems from our planet, Earth. Gem life: So far, only corrupted. Human life: Seemingly non-existent. I've managed to find a save place to stay until I figure out what to do. An abandoned Gem Kindergarten of sorts. The Birth place of the Amethyst Soldiers. Seems appropriate, seeing as I may be turning into a Gem. That, or this Purple Stones reaction to the Corrupting Beam is slowly killing me. Hopefully I'll come across someone to keep me company in my final moments. Anyways, Y/N out." Y/N logged, closing the Journal.
"Tomorrows another day. Goodnight Y/N." Y/N said, going to sleep.
Y/N had a strange dream last night. It was more of just a song, but it was like the song was talking to him, but he didn't know the words. Little did he know, that was him going through his final transformation.
"Ugh, my head." Y/N groaned, wondering why his head hurt.
"Ugh, my head." A voice said from beside him.
He looked to his side, and saw a small Amethyst Soldier copying his movements. He was shocked and happy at the same time. He hadn't seen any other form of normal life in days, so he was happy to see someone.
"Finally, a gem I can talk to!" Y/N shouted in happiness.
"Finally, a gem I can talk to!" The Gem repeated.
"Eh, sure." Y/N said, confused as to why she was repeating him.
"Eh, sure." She repeated.
"Ok, let's start over. Hi, my name is Y/N. Y/N L/N." He said, putting his hand out to shake her hand.
She looked at his hand for a moment, and copied the movement.
"Y/N L/N." She repeated, making Y/N think she was actually conversing with him.
"Now we're getting some where. Right, I'll be right back, I need to go get some food. Stay right there." Y/N said walking away.
"Stay right there." The Gem repeated.
Y/N went and got some food. There wasn't much around, but there were the odd plant or two that he could try and make work. He thought everything was going great, until he got back to his camp, where he saw giant Pink woman and a tall Dark skinned woman with glasses talking to the Gem he just met. It took him a while, but he quickly realized who they were.
"Rose Quartz and Garnet of the Rebellion." Y/N whispered, remembering the research.
"He's right here!" A voice called from behind him, signaling the other two.
"To think, I thought we got rid of all the Homeworld Gems." Garnet said, making her way over to where Y/N was.
"W-Wait, I'm not a Gem, I'm a human." Y/N said, earning a smug snigger from the Gem that showed his location.
"Try looking in a mirror." The Gem said, the three approaching Rose.
"Rose, we got em." Garnet said to Rose.
Rose looked at him for a moment, and then almost instantly realized who he was.
"Y-Y/N?" Rose asked, confusing the other two Gems.
"In the flesh." Y/N said with a smile, making her smile and excitedly hug him.
"I was so worried! I thought all human life was destroyed!" Rose cheered, but shocking Y/N.
"D-Did you just say ALL human life?" Y/N asked, dying down Roses excitement.
"Y-You don't know what happened?" Rose asked, earning a head shake from Y/N.
"I see. I'm very sorry. Allow me to explain."
