Windy. It was night. The cold air was damping through their skins but none of them mind. There's no other thing running in their minds but enjoying that moment. Maybe they knew it won't last. Or maybe, it was just a moment the both of them have been aching to feel.

He stares at her when she start shouting. He wanted to stop him but who will she disturb in the middle of high grasses, right? There's none. That's why he let her. Then, they passed through the tunnel. He stopped the car and that action made her excitement vanished. He stepped out of the car and walk through the trunk. She was confused when he pulled out a black gym bag. And without any word, he pulled out a can of spray paint and ruin the tunnel.

But she thought, ruin isn't the right word to describe what was he is doing. Because for her, it's art. It is something that will make her comeback to this tunnel. Something she would be happy seeing. Before she left their town. And before she arrived. That's what the tunnel leaves on her face when he started painting on it. Smile.

When he got tired, he opened a can of coke for the both of them. He drank it first and she didn't mind sharing it with him. Indirect kiss. She remembered the last time she used that term. It was still about them.

They continued their road trip. He opened the radio and blasted a music on the car. They were singing through every lines. They both hears the song but she hears it more.

Especially when staring at him. The music didn't just filled with lines and tunes but also love and happiness. Memories. Something she would like to keep in a photograph.

And so she did.

He watch her placed the polaroid picture on the case of her phone. That made the both of them happy. Then, he continued to drive while they are still screaming their lungs out of Taylor Swift's lyrics. While he hopes the night wouldn't end.

At 3:00 o' clock, the stars are still visible at the night sky. It was still dark but it doesn't scare neither of them. Both of them take turns in identifying the constellations formed above them. They started to share stories on how they started to love the stars and the moon. She told her how it stayed with her in her darkest hours but he told her how she became the moon and star for him that shines through her darkness days. It shocked her. Not hearing the word -ed, was, and had from the exact words he said.

Then, they started to laugh. Mesmerized the memories they shared through years. Then, they cried. She wonder where did they go wrong. While he cried because after all the memories they shared together, there will be no chance that it will going to relive those memories together again after this day.

Everything was fine or it was not. But whatever it is, the sky started to light up. Until it was turning orange and the sun was rising. None of them wished for the day but who are they to stop it, right?

" So this was it? " she said, for the last time, she hope that he would say no.

But he nodded.

When the sun had already reunited with the clouds in the sky, when it was visible and had its time to shine, their memories together will be buried in the back of their mind.

Last night is literally the last. No more roadtrips for them. No more days together. No more " them ".

That was it.

That's how their story ended. Like how the night sky did to let the sun shine.
