It started raining when Miles decided to go home. The pit pattering of rain could be heard inside the car. He was humming a tune that was never heard of. As he sees the gates slowly opening, he entered and parked.

He slowly walked out of his car unperturbed with the rain quickly penetrating on his suit. But he suddenly stopped when he felt something wasn't right, it gave him chills so he quickly entered the house directly going at his room. He opened the door and saw a woman lying in the bed.

He smiled and approached then his smile froze. Scarlet dripping on the mat, the white sheets covered in blood. On the bed, the woman was naked black and blue covered her body. It was nothing more than bruises from the beating he laid upon her. He saw that the shackles were lying at the bottom of the bed.

He laughed bitterly. "So you chose to die than escape?" But how could the woman escape if she's missing a leg?

He lay down beside her and took her in his arms. Not the bit minding the cold body he's holding.

For a month, he lived in misery, working like a dead man by day and holding the rotting body by night. The room was eery cold and the smell would cause anyone to vomit till they're ill. But he did not frown nor expressed any disgust, it was like he lost his sense of smell. When he turned on the lights, everything was as clean as before even the sheets were changed except there was a decaying body lying in the bed.

He was living like any ordinary people but every night he was haunted with the things he has done to his beloved. From the moment he confined her to the things despicable he has done to her. How he force her into submission to the point she was beaten.

He loves her... But his love was shown in a twisted way.

He looked at her wife, in his eyes, she was still as beautiful as ever quietly sleeping however if others sees it. It was a rotting corpse with maggots crawling on the face going in and out of its eye sockets. He kissed the hair that was almost falling off the rotting scalp. He closed his eyes and hugged the corpse.

Miles suddenly opened his eyes. He looked at the ceiling. He felt like something has changed. He looked beside him and was startled that his wife was not there. He didn't panic but calmly went to the the washroom.

He looked at his face and saw that it was younger than his previous mature face. His features that were sharp and mature were now soft like a teen adolescent.
