The roar of the party was loud. So loud that nobody heard the sad goodbye said as a person left the party. Mirabel Madrigal went to the nursery and wrote a note. As she had her things already packed she left the Casita as it attempts to keep her from leaving.

Not having to worry about getting caught since everyone was either asleep or at the party. Mirabel ran using one of her quirks to go faster than the speed of light. She left the Encanto running to who knows where.

She came to stop at a street in the middle of the day. 'It's morning? How? It was night when I left and I run faster than the speed of light.' Mirabel thought. "That's because time is different here in Japan. We're currently in Musutafu, Japan Mira." Mirabel looked next to her and saw her Abuelo.

'Japan huh. Good thing you taught me Japanese Pedro.' Mirabel thought or in her case said to Pedro. "Yeah. So what are you gonna do? I understand why you ran away, but did you think ahead?" Pedro asked.

'I wanna go to school. Get a job. You said this place has heroes right?' Mirabel thought. Pedro nodded. 'Then that's what I wanna be a hero.' Mirabel thought. "Ok if that's what you want. Where are you gonna stay while we're here?" Pedro asked.

'I'll get a job and rent an apartment.' Mirabel thought. With that done she walked to find a good paying job. "Konnichiwa. I'd like to apply for a job here." Mirabel said to the boss of a store she walked inside of. "Oh of course. I need your name, age and how many hours do you wanna work. Being as your gonna be an employee here you get paid earlier before you work." The boss said.

Mirabel left after getting hired and getting her first pay. "How much is that?" Pedro asked. Mirabel counted the money in her hand. "1...2...3...4...5...6. 600 yen. Should be enough for me to buy food and clothes and rent an apartment." she said after counting.

Meanwhile back in Encanto

The party had died down late into the night as the Madrigals made their way to their respective rooms for the rest of the night. Dolores went to check on Mirabel in the nursery since had somewhat heard her leave the party.

When she opened the door to the nursery what Dolores was expecting was to see her youngest prima in bed or at her desk. What she wasn't expecting was to see the nursery empty with a note on the desk.

Wait. A note? Dolores walked to the desk and grabbed the note.

Dear whoever finds this note,
I'm sorry. I can't take being in everyone's shadow anymore it's been getting suffocating. I can't take the mental and physical abuse I was getting as well. I'm leaving the Casita and the Encanto. Where I'm going I don't know. Will I come back I also don't know. I may not have a gift but I have a quirk. I kept it secret because nobody knows what a quirk is. I hope you can understand why I left. Take care of Antonio for me and tell the family
With love, Mirabel.

Dolores read the note as tears fell down her face. She wiped her eyes and went to her room deciding to tell everyone in the morning as she was tired and everyone was asleep.

In the morning

Everyone woke up at 10 AM since Abuela allows them to sleep in after a celebration goes late into the night. Normally they wake up at 9 AM but today was different. Everyone quickly rushed out to get started on the day.

As everyone sat down for breakfast Julieta realized Mirabel wasn't there. "Where's Mirabel?" she asked. "She ran away." Dolores said sadly. "She what?" Isabela asked with worry visible in her tone.

Dolores took the note out of her dress pocket and gave it to Isabela. Isabela read it as tears fell. She passed the note to Julieta who had the same reaction. By then everyone had read the note was crying. Everyone except for Abuela. "Good that mistake is gone. But what is a quirk?" Abuela asked making everyone look at her in shock and rage.

Everyone started yelling at her while Dolores covered her and Antonio's ears. When the shouting stopped Abuela was speechless. The rest of breakfast was silent as Abuela was rethinking her choices and the rest of the Madrigals were realizing their mistakes.

Back in Japan

Mirabel walked inside her new apartment. It was small one bed one bath apartment that she rented. She got unpacked and went to buy food and drinks then apply for school. She walked into UA High School and applied. Since it was the middle of the year she was put in Class 1-A. Her first day was tomorrow.

Making her way home happy with the start of her new life she made Mirabel started building running goggles that could help her see without her glasses and protect her from getting things in her eyes. She made some food before deciding to turn in for the night.
