Three.
That's how many friends Emelia had.
She missed them terribly but that was about it, everything she had was taken away from her. There was nothing else she could do other than just think about them, think about their times together, think about all the memories they could've made.
Sure, sometimes they were annoying and tiring to be around, but who wasn't? They were still her friends, they were like family, she would often say. They were special to her. They were her hope. They were her motivation.
Tired coughs and silent sobs, sad eyes and a planned demise, unfortunately in vain.
