Kiyoko Shimizu - Kenji and Kiyoko are childhood friends. Kenji met Kiyoko in kindergarten at the age of 5 he became her only friend because of Kenji talkative personality and Kiyoko shyness of talking to others from kindergarten to middle school they are together for 12 years and due to Kenji's love to volleyball, she tends try volleyball in middle school for one year and she has to quit because she got an injury in her left foot. After many years of pestering Kiyoko she eventually fell in love with him and started dating.
Yu Nishinoya - He met him at the gym and recognize his talents at receiving when he is in 1st year and trained with him a lot and likes his focus when he is in the game and how he talks a lot when in practice to cheer the team up. Nishinoya joined Karasuno to play with him again and because of the uniform.
Oikawa Toru - He met Oikawa in a bathroom in their first year on middle school, both are regulars and a starter, he respects Oikawa's Techniques but hates his attitude currently 2 wins for Kenji and 3 for Oikawa, For Kenji Oikawa is his biggest rival even if he is a setter. Oikawa thinks that Kenji is annoying and obnoxious because he can see himself in Kenji and Kenji thinks the same to Oikawa and thinks that he's very annoying but is hard working and charismatic when on the court
Ushijima Wakatoshi - He doesn't talk to Ushijima that much, but he respects his power and he is the biggest obstacle for him to go to the nationals. And Ushijima also thinks that Kenji is a very skilled and powerful player. But not once was he was able to beat Shiratorizawa. And Ushijima invites both Oikawa and Kenji to join the Shiratorizawa.
