Chapter 2 - Karasuno Volleyball Club

A year later, after the tournament between Hinata Shoyo and Kageyama Tobio, Kenji is now his 3rd year in Karasuno High. At the start of high school

Kenji: "The match that happened in Junior high between Shoyo -kun and Kageyama-kun it lit a fire within me that let me worked harder than I ever did because of their passion and their rivalry and it reminds me of myself I'll be waiting for them."

(Kenji is panting while riding a bicycle with Kiyoko Shimizu sitting on the back.)

Kenji: "Kiyoko-sama, are you sure you aren't getting heavy?"

Kiyoko: "How rude. I've actually lost weight. I think you're having trouble because you pushed yourself too hard yesterday."

Kenji: "Yeah, I know. But I can't rest. I met two promising monsters and I just can't wait to play with them."

Kiyoko: "You're very impatient. If you don't stop your reckless training, you might get injured and end up like me." (She bumps her forehead softly against Kenji's back.) "And I don't want that."

Kenji: "Kiyoko, you're unusually emotional today."

Kiyoko: (Punches his back softly.) "Because I'm worried about you!"

Kenji (thoughts): "She's so cute!"

Kenji: "Alright, alright. Kiyoko-sama, I'll rest my body today and just watch."

Kiyoko: "Watch?"

Kenji: "Fine... I'll go home immediately."

Kiyoko: "Good."

Kenji: "You know I won't get injured. I'm stronger than ever. I'll make sure this year Karasuno High School wins This Jack of all trades will make sure that we will beat Shiratorizawa."

Kiyoko: "Then you have to take care of yourself. I'll break up with you if you try that stunt again like last year."

Kenji: "EHHH?!" (Suddenly grips the brake.) "WAIT! YOU'RE NOT SERIOUS?!"

(Kenji starts to sweat.)

Kiyoko: "I'm serious. I can't watch you do that to yourself again. If I can't stop you, then I just won't see you..."

Kenji: "OKAY! I PROMISE!"

Kiyoko: "Good." (Smiles.)

Kenji: "If I promise I won't do it again, then don't leave me..."

Kiyoko: "If you keep your promise, I'll keep mine."

Kenji: "Fine! You win! You always win..."

Kiyoko: "Of course."

Kenji: "I hope I can talk to those two though."

Kiyoko: "Them?"

Kenji: "They fought because of me, you know... Asahi keeps blaming himself and so does Noya. In reality, it's my fault because I couldn't play in that game."

Kiyoko: "I've told you a hundred times, you were injured. You were in no condition to play, and four of our members tried to hold you down."

Kenji: "Then why do they keep avoiding me? I'll try to talk to those two again."

Kiyoko: "Just try again later."

At school. Kenji has been walking around looking for Nishinoya and Asahi. Kenji was asking around Noya's classmate.

2nd year student: "Nishinoya? He was suspended by hitting a teacher, Takashima Senpai."

Kenji: "Really? Okay thanks."
