Sun POV
Well that was interesting, right Moony?
Hm.
No need to be so grumpy.
I made sure to let Moon know I was rolling my eyes. But of course I couldn't actually do it.
"Mr.Sun! There's no more glitter glue!" a child said holding up an empty bottle.
"Oh no!" Well, crap. "Don't worry we'll get some tomorrow! Now what do you say we use the other glitter, my little flare." I crouched down letting my feistiest child climb onto my back. Once I felt little Felicia grab the handles I stood up.
"RAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Felicia giggled as I skipped along to the crafting table. "BOW DOWN TO ME PEASANTS!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
You did it again Sun. Way to go. Let me guess tomorrow when all the glitter glue arrives, you'll eat it all again? On accident?
I could already feel Moon's snarl curve into my own lips. But I couldn't let the kids see that, so I broke into a wider smile.
Well, it WAS an accident! You know I eat in my sleep!
Bla Bla Bla. Excuses, excuses, excuses.
Oh, shut up and let me play with our little stars in peace! I felt myself puff my cheeks and humph, before regaining my bright and happy composure.
"Mr.Sun!" Felicia tugged at my rays, steering me to the left.
I laughed on the outside, but scolded my counterpart on the inside. Look what you made me do! I almost missed the crafting tale because of you and your salty behavior and complaining!
Does it feel like I care? Felicia clearly has you under control. You wouldn't have missed the table for nothing.
Well it shouldn't be the chid's job to look after me! Quite on the contra-
"AAAAAAA!!!!!!!"
I dashed forward after quickly setting Felicia down. A few meters away a little boy was falling off the play place and I sure as hell wasn't going to let him finish the fall.
Children ran to the sides, making room for me to pass through. And before you knew it, I caught the clumsy little sunstar before the floor did.
"Sun- Sunny?!" Then the boy flopped his face into my shirt and began to sob.
"Shhhh." I stood up, patting his back. "He's okay! Everything's okay!" I waved at the adults running towards us. I then turned to the other children. Poor things. They were clearly scared by the sight too. "Don't worry! Our friend is okay! We'll be back to play with you before you know it!"
The children slowly went back to their activities as I handed the shaken child to his mother. "I am so sorry. But I sure am happy I got him in ti-"
"THIS IS BULLSHIT!" the father said with angry eyes. "I'm filing a complaint! My son could have died! And yet you were frolicking with the other children? Despicable! What kind of daycare attendant leaves a child unattended just to have fun? huh?!"
"I am so sorry sir, and I am sure Freddy Fazbear's Mega PizzaPlex will-"
I felt myself deflate, because HOW IN THE FUCKING NAME OF ASTRALS AM I SUPPOSED TO KEEP TRACK OF EVERY CHILD? Even if I am a robot, I am not "all-knowing". Ugh. That's why some adults stay behind, to keep an eye on their children.
"Will... make up for this *sigh* incident."
Moony, do you see what I mean. It's our job to look after the kids.. Even then it's not enough. So quit your yapping about the kids looking after me.
"They better you oversized monkey robot!"
Honestly I don't have energy for this. "Feel free to take your kid. I cannot force him to stay and suffer through more of my apparent," I leaned down, lowering my voice and moving my head closer at each word I said, "inadequacy to care for him."
This unsettled the man who dragged his kid out of the daycare. He kept turning back to give me a nasty look. And if there weren't children around I would flip him off each time. But...
"Well!" I raised my voice as I spun to look at my other sunbeams. "Who's ready fro a puppet show!!!!!"
Dumbass Karen. If we had a bit more help, these stuff wouldn't happen so much.
But, nOoOoO, there isn't enough funding for another daycare attendant. Friggin' idiots.
My head nodded, with Moon in full agreement. After 5 seconds I let go of all negative feelings I had to put on the best puppet show these kids will ever see!
